Sex Scandal Thread

It had got silly anyway I think, but not surprised they don't want any danger of their brand being damaged

Think the new series was supposed to be 8 eps, so I was hoping it would get back to the grit and slower, more sense plots.

But that's by the by lol

Okay, in this day and age this is completely dumb and the idiot did himself no favours by laughing and driving off when told the comment wasn't appreciated.

But...

Is this really the world we now live in (I'd love the lasses on the site to comment if they were willing as obviously I'm coming from a male perspective here).

A cyclist who confronted a man after he shouted lewd comments out of his car at her has spoken of the barrage of daily harassment faced by women.
"He told me I should have a health warning because my backside was going to cause an accident," she said.

Is that really a lewd comments (sic)?
Is it harassment in reality? (it's not legally).

It's not a wolf whistle (which isn't strictly harassment either), it's not 'get your...' which always deserves a punch. It's not a total stranger telling you what they'd do given half a chance.

It's certainly not what the article then goes on to reference - ie beer cans being thrown at them???? WTF?

And then we get the I felt gaslighted and doubted myself poor me victim angle for emotional purposes.

Is a pretty harmless compliment now verbal assault? Should we now make the difference between a club, pub and the street where you see someone attractive and try and make a connection?

I had a shave a while back, neighbour commented I didn't half look better, and younger, should I be reporting her? I took it as a compliment and joked back, give it another few months and I'll be back to looking like normal.

Got little to no patience for him, he's driving a Range Rover ish car!

Why did he have to spoil her day having a go? Not sure if there was an incident before, but if she was just cycling around, then he's a prize pratt who should learn to keep his mouth shut.

An innocent comment though maybe?

Anyway -

Justice Secretary Robert Buckland has apologised to rape victims for low conviction rates in England and Wales and promised to "do a lot better".
In an exclusive BBC interview, he said it was "not good enough" and admitted budget cuts were partly to blame.

I think he means we go back to a legal system that doesn't say she was asking for it or texted I like you.

Technicality apparently. A previous AG had 'agreed' he wouldn't face charges for the crime, so apparently he's innocent.

This:

Prosecutor Kevin Steele said in a statement that Mr Cosby "was found guilty by a jury and now goes free on a procedural issue that is irrelevant to the facts of the crime".

They have said that is probably him off the hook

They said that him pretty much off the hook. Saying on CNN last night it is possible one or more women could take civil action but unless they can provide burden of proof, it is she says he says and would likely to be unsuccessful. I have also seen that Rolf Harris has also left prison after serving less than 3 years.

Possibly the right thread, although not strictly related obviously.

Apple is facing criticism over a new system that finds child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on US users' devices.
The technology will search for matches of known CSAM before the image is stored onto iCloud Photos.
But there are concerns that the technology could be expanded and used by authoritarian governments to spy on its own citizens.

Sounds a sensible enough plan to me although yes there are obvious concerns for errors.

But sounds like WhatsApp idiot is using kiddy porn to score points here with his 'it could also' concerns.
