Set pieces

Seems a long time since we had anyone who could pick up the ball and you'd think we'd have a squeak of a goal on the edge of the box , Reid , Mcgugan & Earnshaw i can't think of too many others since then .
Bloody hell we were spoiled with the likes of Pearce , Metgod & PVH from dead balls.

We’re second bottom of the league for set pieces xG.

This is one of the things that mystifies me about Dyche: the traits he’s supposed to be good at (set piece work, defensive resolve) we’re just not seeing, game after game.

What is going on?
Now this is an xG-related stat I can easily believe. It's absolutely pathetic. I always thought bad corners should be fined. It's like a golfer never getting close to the fairway, or a darts player missing the board.

To be fair, our defence is on the whole a lot better since he came in. Last night was horrific though.

Sangare is our best hope on the edge of the box these days. Not saying much, is it.

Just watching the FA cup coverage and that Reed guy at Mansfield is a player who can both score shots from outside the box and take dangerous free kicks.

Maybe we should just buy him to stick him on with 10 minutes left so at least we have one player who can do that stuff.

Imagine having a player who can hit the target from further out than 8 yards!

Also did anyone see Douglas Luiz's assist from a free kick for Villa yesterday?

Yep. Clear offside. Then he got booked and then an own goal.
Wasn't all good.
