Seriously thinking of giving the Liverpool game a miss

keep your hands out of your pockets near the armed police officers.

Or what, they'll shoot you? FFS!

I realise safety of the public is important, but I have to confess I've never felt very safe among people with guns

I think a statement like that, should either come from the GMP or the Club. I would say that there would be a search, but I would also say that there maybe a few dogs about sniffing your doings

They usually search bags before big matches anyhow, I'm just not into guns. have been shot at a few times, it's not pleasant!

With you on this Fifth, I appreciate that they feel the need to tighten up security but that bit about keeping your hands in your pockets is ott. I often find that when security is ramped up and guns are present that the atmosphere becomes intimidating and I personally can't relax.

My guess is he was looking for a secret beach in South East Asia and wandered into someone's cannabis crop.

I've been shot at before too but that was just with rock salt as the farmer who's field I was trespassing on wanted to scare the shit out of me.

Twice in Detroit, twice in Manchester, once in Northern Ontario - the one in Ontario was an accident, got mistaken for a deer in the woods! The other 4 weren't accidents

Since you're still here to tell the tale I'm assuming it was Georgio Samaras who was doing the aiming?

One of the times in Manc turned out to be a starter pistol...

If guns scare you, I would suggest staying away from Alabama. :rolly:

Mate of mine had a gun pulled on him by a copper in Central Park when reaching for his camera in the inside pocket of his coat, it wasn't long after 9/11. I'm not a fan of gun laws in the U.S. at all.

The funny thing is BD, NYC has the strictest gun laws in America. It doesn't prevent baddies from getting guns.

Yes, it's not as 'black and white' as people suggest.

Be nice to remove all guns completely and simultaneously. The problem is the US is awash with them and you will never get rid of more than half and that would take generations. Only the law abiding citizens would be handing them in and the criminals would be having a field day in the meantime.

It would take a Constutional amendment to take them away CB,and that will never happen.
