The Premier League's top two sides battle it out at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday (6 February), kick off 12:45, but which striker will come out on top?

Sergio Agüero v Jamie Vardy

A mouth-watering clash between two of the best strikers in the league will keep fans on the edge of their seat, (Tottenham fans, I've omitted your in-form striker, I know) so let's take a look at what Agüero and Vardy are capable of.

Will Kun or Vardy score or will someone else steal the show?

Vary has been a revelation this season but I doubt he will repeat it in 2016/17. By the start of next season the video analysts will have had sufficient time to thoroughly analyse in more detail how he works and strategies will evolve to deal with him and the service he receives. he has genuine pace in spades and that is always difficult to plan for and manage but I think Buzz is spot on with the one dimension to a substantial part of his success.

His first against the dippers was a wonderful strike but it was NOT, as described as nauseam on the BBC, a 'half volley'. The long ball bounced kindly and he was afford an acre of space by the defender who was clearly concerned about getting too tight. Vardy had plenty of time (in PL terms) to get everything set before striking as sweet a volley as you could wish to see. It was outstanding and a worthy contender for Goal of the Season for sure. But is was a volley. From the descriptions I had heard it seemed the ball had come over his shoulder and he had struck it just as it rose off the ground - i.e. inches not the three feet it bounced up before dropping again when he hit it. I am only grateful it wasn't Wiggy for the rags or we'd never hear the end of it.

I thought it was akin to the goal Crouch scored against us for Stoke - struck it sweetly and found the one spot the keeper couldn't reach. I would have hit that into the stands I expect but i bet that he could try that 9 more times and not score.

We need to be vigilant though as he is flying and uber-confident. We all know that when Kun is at his best he is in THAt sort of zone.

For me we will have to do our hard work in cutting out his supply lines in the same way that other teams attempt to shut down Silva.

Our liability Mangala didn't give him a sniff last time out. The only chance he got in the 90 was when Dinho **cked up in possession which allowed Vardy to nip in for a one on one with Joe.

Hopefully we can restrict him just as well tomorrow although he could well exploit the lack of pace of Demi and Otter.

I remember Jon Macken scoring one like that for Preston against us and we signed him on the strength of that, but Vardy does have talent, what we have to do is not leave ourselves open to that sort of ball
