Secrets of the Vatican

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
Anyone watch this programme? Channel four, on demand.

Oh the hypocrisy of this vile institution.

Give it a quick viewing, everything I've ever said and more.

As one said, rotten to the core.

I'm not a fan of thr RC lot but you have to give credit where it's due and this latest Pope seems to be genuinely trying and, in contrast to the last 2, actually a man with a great deal of humility and a genuine passion for helping people rather than being some sort of regal figurehead.

I'll believe it when he condemns paedophilia and stops the wall of silence Villan.

I agree with the hypocrisy of the Vatican. I don't agree re all their believers. I know many many wonderful Christians who are Catholics.

We have a family member who was head of the safeguarding committee for the abused children in The Catholic Church in The U.K & Ireland.. He only stood down as he retired and has moved abroad. He still does much in children safeguarding where he is now.

He has done so much along with his wife for children and young people. His credits are a mile along, yet he is a unassuming man. A real man of God.

He actually spearheaded the committee. So things have been happening about it many don't realize.

No kefkat, it is the institution I am talking about.

Then again, the followers uphold the institution and it is one who as good as allow paedophilia. I couldn't follow such a thing.

The condom thing has caused so many unwanted births and dangerously so in underdeveloped, poor countries. Saw a programme once where the popes advisor lied saying they don't stop the spread of aids. Outrageous lie that would be listened to in, again, third world countries especially.

It really is a cult that propagates religion and has amassed a fortune that could be put to very good use.

The bit about the vaticans bank is interesting, laundering money for the mafia and dictators etc.

Lovely.

I remember the monk/brother (whatever they're called) that was affiliated with the Catholic Church my school was connected to. Dunno what his name was but he used to say to the kids, '' everyone call me BJ''. Now i think about it, that's weird.

Yes I remember watching a programme in the 80's I think about a Vatican banker who was found hanging from a bridge in London.

They said it was suicide but the programme exposed links to the Masonic movement and the Mafia that involved millions of pounds.

Quite staggering and it doesn't seem to have changed.

I belong to a group JF called Christians tired of being misrepresented: I think the line of it sums up for me, what its about, which says: Followers of Jesus message, not other Christians dogma.

It is people that are the problem.

Makes you wonder what the last Pope got caught doing to step down, first for 600 years. More to that than meets the eye one would think.

Rhetorical question, we can't speculate as it would be libellous!

Oh I don't know. I'm sure we could speculate, as long as we include the word 'allegedly' somewhere..... Lol

:17:

Its basically become the hiding place for paedos and men that had sexual issues.

The problem we had in the past is that the young boy at school he dosnt fancy the girls like the other boys do. Cant tell his mum, cant tell his dad, cant tell anyone because he will be laughed at or picked on. He see's the church as the answer - a place where you can get away without having to have a healthy sexual relationship, a trade where he will get respected and nobody will ever know who he really has inner sexual feelings for...That is until one day he see's the choir boys getting dressed and his desires get the better of him..

Problem number 2 is that this priest will then go to confession(yes priests have to do this as well) and as confession is in confidence - it never gets out from the "institution"(church). It would also be a common issue within the institution and I imagine the ones that went into the trade for all the right reasons(not to hide from their sexuality) have inner battles in the system.

Its quite sad really if you put mind into that of a paedo..

Imagine if "you" are a 16 yr old lad and you have sexual feelings for 13-14 year old boys. Now you cant help it, you fight it, you hate yourself, the system around you sucks - nowhere to go, nowhere to run, if you seek help you know you are labelled....Now in those days this lad would turn to God for help...Was mankind going to help him? Was evolution? Was science? I mean how lucky are we that it just wasnt us - yet could so easily have been? The Internet is full of child porn etc....Its a "massive" industry and yes mankind do have people that "fancy" children. Many will "secretly" use the internet to satisfy these desires they have and many will be disgusted with themselves, its an awful burden to carry.

The problem is that the Catholic religion does have an awful lot of these people as they had nowhere else to go. I imagine they will continue to sort it "in house", I cant imagine the religion to sell out on all these souls when the system outside the church had nothing for them.

But the story of Jesus is copied from much earlier texts, so in reality you are following Chinese whispers.

It is people that are the problem.

It is illogical people that are the problem.

It is those who refuse to see the insurmountable evidence that are the problem.
