Sunderland are on track to sell 20,000 season tickets at £310 to £455 for a standard adult.

Very impressive for league 1 and the loyalty of supporters for watching Accrington

Some players will be on 40k a week, one player on more than our whole first team.

Looking foeward to that fixture not to far away and of course the 3 points

They have maintained their loyalty of support through difficult times. Sometimes you need to take a step back to move forwards and you would think they will be one of the promotion favorites next season.

True, it`s an impressive number for L1, but is it really that impressive for AFC Sunderland ? For some weeks now Sunderland have been re-locating, apparently by way of incentive pricing, season ticket holders from their upper levels (highest - so further away from the pitch) to the lower tiers/bowls. It would seem that this measure is aimed at salvaging declining crowd atmosphere/noise from a (comparatively) sparsely populated Stadium of Light. It appears that Sunderland`s big drop in attendances is a worry for the Black Cats. If the season starts badly for them, their home games will be rather churchyard like, except for the away fan noise. As for the prices, the 310 quid sum will still be one of the top two or three in L1 next year. Bradford City will continue to be the cheapest in our division. I wish Sunderland well, btw - except v GFC. Sunderland should not be in L1.

If we had the budget Sunderland will have this season then I’d be offering Gills fans free tickets and blowjobs to every game.

We have, Sunderland have the luxury of parachute payments from the Premiership and they will still make a massive loss.
As I understand it Ellis short has cleared the debt and the new regime and Sunderland as a club will pretty much be starting next season debt free (according to Mickey Grey on talk sport in the week) so with their parachute payments i doubt they will be operating at a 'massive loss'.

The income will not cover the expenses and they owe something like £30m to other clubs which was not cleared

Well that is not what Micheal Gray was saying on talk sport and he broke the news of the Donald takeover, and no offence meant, but ill go with his version. This article quotes Donald stating Sunderland are 'debt free', if as you say is true, owing other football clubs money means they are not debt free, so are you accusing Donald of lieing?

Not convinced he cleared the trade debit - article on local TV was saying they need the parachute payments to cover interest.

The new owner says they must operate within their means and he will not invest or take on debt so I expect a lot of changes.

I was surprised that only 7% of their income is from gate receipts
