Season tickets - a rumour.

I am reliably informed that ST details for next season will be released tomorrow. Already the club have drafted in extra staff in the ticket office to cope with the impending unprecedented demand. Also extra stewards and security staff will be in place to cope with the huge queues which are already forming outside the ground. An unofficial spokesman said "we have never experienced anything like this before, even the demand for tickets for the Arsenal FA Cup and Man City play off final pale into insignificance".

Will they also provide gender non-specific toilets and safe spaces? I've heard it all now!

I heard in reasonable authority that the prices have been ready but waiting for Scally to sign off on them.He was meant to be awaiting our definite survival before releasing .The source also said the prices would be going up again .Which would shows how out of touch out chairman is if it is true .

No chance of them going down in price because (a) the two year deal offered last season and (b) we wouldn't increase sales to cover the loss of revenue through a reduction.

I reckon we are pretty much at a flat level of ST holders now, its those who will probably buy one whatever because they have been going forever etc. etc. We might lose a few after a poor season but generally I suspect its the same number of people renewing each year give or take 10%.

Attracting new season ticket holders is a different thing altogether.

I hope you’re right Mark but I suspect a significant drop in uptake compared to last season.

I can imagine a £10 increase, which is effectively only the retail level of inflation (a bit over 3%).

Agree, I’ve read loads of people say that they will definitely not be renewing next season, and it’s no surprise after our record breaking poor home results this season.

Yep lots of people have told me the same but they always seem to renew. Bloke next to me said, its rubbish but what else would I do on a Saturday, I'll come anyway so I might as well renew the season ticket.

Brand loyalty is very high. Its attracting new customers that will see us grow though.

I didn't renew my season ticket a couple of seasons OK but I did have the debate with a mate about what would make me get one again. Money wise they would need to go down a lot to make sense for me. I miss a few games through work travel and holidays so this season, with the special offers I definitely saved money by not having one. The only real advantage of having a ST is the guarantee of the same seat and a very good chance of getting a ticket for any big away games. I had to scramble for a Spurs ticket but other than that I haven't missed not having mine and I have had one on and off for 30+ years. If crowds grew to the point that I might not be able to get a seat with my ST holding mates then I would think about it again but generally speaking I have been able to get the same seat for every game I wanted even sometimes buying just a few days before.

Interesting to see what deals are offer but I suspect a slight increase and not much else to tempt people. As I said above I get that though as we wouldn't sell enough new ones to cover the reduction in price.

A good performance/win on Saturday may convince a few more to renew but a repeat of recent home games may convince people not to bother. Its why I expect the strongest possible team to play

It would appear that a review of the rules of Whoosh is in order.

Getting someone to accept a whoosh straight
1 point plus 1 point for each whooshee thereafter to a maximum of 10

Getting someone to accept a whoosh after the possibility that it is a whoosh has been raised
10 points plus 10 points for each whooshee thereafter to a maximum of 100 points

Getting someone to accept a whoosh after the whoosher has themselves owned up to it being a whoosh
100 points plus 100 points for each whooshee thereafter to a maximum of 1000 points

Some variants of the game permit defensive points, but these are difficult to measure

Pretending to be whooshed and playing along
2 points plus 2 points for each subsequent attempt at playing along thereafter to a maximum of 20 points, but void if challenged before the original whoosh is challenged

Prompting the original whoosher to make a straight response to a whoosh response to the original whoosh
4 points plus 4 points for each subsequent straight response thereafter to a maximum of 40 points

Responding to the whoosh straight and then maintaining that you realized it was a whoosh all along in a subsequent post
automatic 4000 point deduction

Triple whooshes and higher may be attempted but cannot be scored.

It is a simple game and, when played properly, can be quite beautiful.

Edit - Baghdad got in there earlier while I was still reading through it.
