Season card holders

I always buy things like that on my Credit Card; any problems and the Credit Card Company deal with it

Debits do a similar job now, perhaps not as quickly but they are good.

I am about to kill Virgin Holidays who owe me money after cancelling my 14 days in Barbados. I raised it as a complaint with them but after saying I would get the money back WC 16th Aug. Still waiting the beardy little ****

After extensive consultation with the relevant governing bodies and the official Supporters’ Trust, Nottingham Forest are now able to provide the following information to supporters on their 2020-21 season card purchase.

The 2020-21 Sky Bet Championship season begins on Saturday with an away game at QPR, followed by the first home game of the season against Cardiff City on Saturday 19th September. At the time of this update, the Cardiff match will be played behind-closed-doors with no access for supporters in any capacity.
Whilst there is hope and an expectation that a reduced number of supporters will be able to return to The City Ground from October, this is yet to be confirmed by the relevant governing bodies. In the event that a percentage of spectators are allowed access inside The City Ground, the club will introduce a ticket ballot process for season card holders who will have the option to opt into a ballot for their chance to attend.
The club have been working with the EFL, the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) and the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) to understand how to make The City Ground a safe environment for supporters once a return date is confirmed.
After recent pilot events at other sporting venues, including the friendly fixture between Brighton and Chelsea last week, were deemed successful, the club are optimistic that fans will be able to return from Saturday 3rd October for the fixture against Bristol City at The City Ground, but further guidance from the relevant authorities is needed before any confirmation.
The club's surveys and consultations suggest that between 7,000-8,000 seats will be made available during the initial phase, and with around 16,000 season card holders signed up for the 2020-21 season, the club estimates that season card holders will be able to attend one in two home games. As further restrictions are lifted over time, further increases in capacity are expected.
With this in mind, the club are offering season card holders what is believed to be the best possible solution in the current challenging circumstances. The club believes there is a strong chance that only season card holders will be able to attend matches for the whole season and, therefore, propose the following two options:
Option 1: Exclusive ticket ballot and iFollow bundle
  • Season card holders enter an online ticket ballot for each home fixture in which fans are able to be accomodated.
  • Season card holders receive an iFollow code for all 23 home and seven midweek away matches. This includes junior and child season card holders
  • For each game at The City Ground available for supporters to attend, the club will ask supporters to enter an online ballot for available tickets. The club would encourage fans to enter in their social bubbles to maximize available seat capacity.
  • For the first game, the ticketing system will randomly select successful applicants and automatically allocate seats. This means it is unlikely that if successful you would be allocated your current season card seat. However, the system is sophisticated enough that it will select the next best alternative in a similar price category.
  • Supporters who are unsuccessful or chose not to participate in the ballot will receive an iFollow code for that game.
  • In addition, should you apply for the ballot for the second game, it will automatically prioritise you for that fixture and the club would expect you to be successful in this ballot.
  • This cycle would continue until the guidance and/or available capacity changes.
  • In some cases, if the number of people entered into a ballot is lower than expected, there is a chance some fans may be allocated tickets to more than one in two matches.
  • For supporters who accept this option, the club are pleased to guarantee a price freeze for season card renewals in the 2021-22 season.
Option 2: Rolling refund
  • Season card holders can elect to receive a pro-rata refund for their season card on an ongoing basis.
  • Season card holders will receive a refund until stadium capacity is increased to allow all season card holders in to all matches or until the end of the 2020-21 season, whichever occurs soonest.
  • As a result of the negotiations between the EFL and Sky Sports, the club will not be able to offer any iFollow access codes for home and midweek away games to supporters who select this option.
  • It is not possible for an adult season card holder who attends matches with children to select a refund option on the adult season card but retain the ticket ballot and iFollow option on the child season card.
  • Supporters will be able to renew their existing season card seat for the 2021-22 season when the process commences.
The default position for all season card holders is that they will be automatically selected to receive Option 1 (ticket ballot and iFollow package) unless they indicate otherwise to the club.
To request the rolling refund option and to forego any season card benefits, please log-in to your Ticketmaster account at https://www.eticketing.co.uk/nottinghamforest and select the refund option on your account. Please ensure this is done for EVERY season card you wish to refund and not just the lead booker. Supporters are also advised that their choice covers the duration of the 2020-21 season and cannot be changed at a later date.
The club has set a deadline for fans to confirm their option by Wednesday 23rd September so there is sufficient time to complete a ticket ballot process ahead of the fixture against Bristol City on Saturday 3rd October (subject to government guidance).
In addition, the club have set this date as a deadline for any supporters wishing to renew their 2020-21 season card but have yet to do so.
For the forthcoming Cardiff City fixture, the club shall send iFollow codes to all season card holders who have selected Option 1 or have yet to make a decision.
If you need assistance logging in to your account, please email tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk. The ticket office phone lines and counters remain closed due to Covid restrictions.
Should your circumstances mean that you would like to request a refund for the full season, please email the ticket office at tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk.

The EFL are living in cloud cuckooland. Either that or it's an excuse to keep our money. There is no chance that there will be big crowds. Meetings now limited to six, so even less chance. Only a decent vaccination will open grounds up again. There are far more important things than watching football matches.

The club would expect anyone not getting to the first game, to get to the second game ? Do they really expect a 10,000 capacity or a lot of people not entering the ballot ?

How will this work?
If I am selected (I go with three other family members) will I have my seat, or are we allocated a seat with the ballot result?

What if I cannot go if I am successful one week? I will feel guilty for taking someones place.

It's a proper catastrofuck!

Also, if you opt for the refund, do you lose your seat for our first glorious year back in the Prem?

I assume the ballot would work in a block of how many season tickets in your group. (Which I guess assumes that whoever you go with is in the same bubble). Presumably you wouldn't enter the ballot if you knew you couldn't go, though of course things happen. This is the bit I don't understand, unless they expect a very large capacity.

I am a bubble of one, go with friends outside of family bubble. Might have to be a full refund.

Right, as I suspected, the EFL are the ones who have been incredibly slow in providing guidance to the Clubs.

This current EFL rules state that:

Clubs are only allowed to stream up to 7 midweek away games through their own ifollow service, which is offered to season ticket holders who wish to forgo a refund for any games missed.

If a weekend fixture is moved to a midweek date or played on a Friday, it cannot be included in the mid week package.

Outside of the 7 away games, Clubs cannot stream away games to season ticket holders free of charge; this is not a decision the Clubs can take it is an EFL directive.

Clubs have been canvassing the EFL for a relaxation of the guidelines, so far without success.

If that has not pissed you off, the next bit will almost certainly do so; the EFL are advising Clubs not to offer any refund unless at least 25% of the Season is played behind closed doors - this alludes to refunds for people who do not avail of the ifollow deal - I may well be wrong but I would say that that drives a coach and horses through your statutory rights.

No mentioned of games being played with reduced capacities.

If you think that is bad, as of yesterday, the PL had offered Clubs no guidance.

It just goes to show exactly what the ruling bodies think of the paying supporter.

Dunno about anyone else but its whacking my pips. For an organisation that does very little at all, you think they could step up a bit when their industry is in a crisis.

Muppets

I paid by debit card

No games have been played at this juncture so you are entitled to a full refund; if the Club will not play ball, you have the option of going to your Bank and request that they recover the money.

You have statutory rights which the Club must honour

I know that as I work in Banking lol

i dont understand the limited ifollow. Working it like match day passes when the club simply has to offer full ifollow season ticket and pay ifollow with funds theyve taken Thats around half the season ticket value. Then if manage to get to 'some' live games at all thats a bonus

Pretty poor that season ticket holders have to pay again to watch Saturday away fixtures. They are just encouraging people to claim their money back, though I guess I will have the ifollow option and watch the games with my son to get our moneys worth.

Interesting that despite the fact I didn't renew my Notts Cricket season ticket this year they let you watch ALL the cricket for free, including the T20 games. Creates massive goodwill, as I would quite happily pay £5 to watch each T20 game.

For sure, hence should have same access i have on ifollow which is all away games too. Its the obvious thing to do. Sounds like folk should poss ask for a refund and then buy the unrestricted access themselves

I guess there are different rules in the UK ? I assume we can't buy a season pass here. Seems a bit unfair that someone with a premium season ticket pays more to watch ifollow than us cheapskates in the Upper Trent ! 32 games at (I assume £10) = £320. Cheaper than a season ticket, before you take into account any games you miss. I have sympathy with lower league clubs, but Championship and even more so Premier League football should be some of the last things to return to normal. The PL in particular can easily get by on tv revenue, even if there are substantial losses of income. Might give some of the players a reality check.

ALL games should be televised or streamed though, even if they are behind a paywall.

Capitalises B for banking, typical bankers feeling of self importance :)

not at all, no self importance. It’s just that when you write about an industry you start with a capital letter as you should with a capital S in front of your user name
