Sean Raggett

Decent move as I expect he will get far more game time at Rotherham than Norwich who seem to prefer imported players. Still Championship level so will be up against very good strikers in every match so probably the most important season of his career now. Wish him well

Good move for him.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on because if he can do a job in that division then Wharton could, too.

Good luck to him, but hardly a ringing endorsement from Farke ! Suspect any sell on clause we may have will turn out not be worth very much.

When I looked a couple of weeks ago only 8 English players in a squad of 30 and at least 2 of those now on loan. About time we had a cap on the number of non-English players in a starting XI especially at every level below the top flight who will always be a law unto themselves. 2nd rate overseas players stopping the progress of young English talent is in my opinion wrong and it needs addressing.

The local Norwich Press suggested Farke was clinging on a bit at the end of last season. He does tend to head for Germany for recruitment , think Sean has missed out because of it. His total game time since January is about 15 minutes.

Chelsea have signed 38 year old Rob Green to make their 'homegrown' quota today.
Its stupid really the clubs keep signing playing from abroad which is crazy considering how well our youngsters have done of late in international tournaments and of the seniors making it to the WC semi final!
Clearly the talent is there but the clubs always want easy option.

Well hopefully once we get a strong Brexit sorted (fat chance) we can start implementing some non EU directed labour laws. (Helmet on awaiting incoming:throw:)

Managers are sadly too scared to take a chance in the prem/championship on lowerleague players imo. Also the more foreign coaches the more they look abroad to recruit imo.Possibly helps us for loans etc etc on our way up the ladder.
Personally i cant see why there shouldnt be a squad size quota for the top tier as Chelseas model for squads/players is ridiculous.

What a great wish to have. We can send Luiz, Morata, and Konate and the rest of them back to where they came from, and Chelsea can sign lots of 38-year-old English goalkeepers to replace them, and play their under 21s (beaten by Lincoln) and all those loanees who've demonstrably failed to set the Dutch league on fire instead. That will really strengthen our football.

And we can put the foreigners on a plane with all the nurses who would care for you, and all the farm workers who get food to your table.

I wasn't disappointed I knew somebody would have a nibble:yes:
Here we go, where did I say I was against immigration? I firmly believe in immigration and believe it is very good, absolutely necessary and healthy so long as it is controlled. You know employ people that fill highly skilled jobs (compensate developing countries that they come from using the overseas budget) or low skilled jobs that the resident population won't do (with proper regulated protection to prevent them being exploited) whilst simultaneously investing in the training and education of people that are British born to fill gaps going forward. Oh and have the right to immediately return criminals and the feckless to their country of birth no questions asked, no appeals. Highly skilled footballers are more than welcome from Armenia to Zanzibar. That's what I call a strong Brexit and we are a million miles from getting there. Total ban on immigration = very bad, current level of freedom of movement = very bad .

Farke likes a back 3 rather than 4 and to my knowledge Sean hasn’t played in a back 3 role- hence his limited game time.

Good luck Sean - hope the move works well for you. You deserve a better chance than Norwich have given you.
