Sean Dyche appointed

I repeat what I kept saying last year...a game at a time...after each game look at the table and see if our position is changing ...that's how I look at football...

I'm still unconvinced with Dyche.
I am concerned about his in-game management of his subs and tactics. You see him on the touchline and his main coaching instructions to the players is about being brave and working harder.
This is great and is exactly what is needed when you are trying to get promoted from a lower league, or fighting to avoid the drop in the Prem, but tactical tweaking seems too nuanced for him; which is what makes great managers: Read the game and react. Fulham and Man City games are the two latest examples.
If we want to push on to the next level, then I'm not sure he's our man.
Obvs, I hope I'm wrong.

question is, does marinakis sack him, woan and stone when we reach 35 points...or at the end of the season?

So exactly what we need right now then?
Could understand him not wanting to change anything on Saturday on the basis if he it ain't broke etc. subs might have upset the equilibrium, but with hindsight may have been better to make a few subs earlier as players started to run out of a bit of gas.

What did baffle me however was the introduction of Taiwo who offers little if any threat at all when he has / had other other perhaps better options on the bench. Might have been interesting to see Kali playing off Jesus for 10 - 15 minutes even if it was just to see if there might be any mileage in it for the future.

100%. Edu and the recruitment team need to ship out Taiwo this month so he’s no longer an option for Dyche, while not entertaining any bids for Kali

Again it comes back does Kali want to be here?
If he doesn’t and has/is actively seeking a transfer then it’s more understandable.
Trying to play Taiwo into some sort of form.
Do we need to sell to get someone in of Dyche’s choosing ?
He’s entitled to at least bring some of his players in.
I don’t want to necessarily see any of our signings go, but we’ve lost the ability to be choosy given our league position.

Yes but if kali is actively plotting his escape route & there is no desire to play him why put him on the bench in 1st place

Numbers, shop window, players not even making match day squads command less in fees?
Maybe he isn’t , I just seem to recall a twitter rumour (yes I know, but broken clock and all that) that either him or Bakwa weren’t settling in.
Maybe we just need to sacrifice one of our summer signings so Dyche can bring in 1 or 2.

Don't disagree with you at all mate, I'm simply trying to fathom the unfathomable IE why Sean Dyche though Taiwo was the answer to whatever the question was may as well send Abbott on tell him to go up front & put himself about a bit it couldn't have contributed any less than bringing Taiwo on

This is why I am Edu/Sorianos I am actively looking to sell Taiwo asap. Mainz and the Bundesliga looking interested in him.

Then there is a squad place and cash to get someone in. (EM, send us your Rio Ave striker, Clayton as a Taiwo replacement). Then by the end of the window if Kali wants out, sell him. In the meantime Dyche has to use him as he rotates with Jesus in January, and plays him in the EL and FA Cup.

Come the end of January we will know how far Wood is away from being available.

Has EM (or, more precisely, his sporting departments) shown any inclenation to deliberately weaken any club in the stable?

As Clayton is Ave's best and most in form player, they will insist he doesnt leave in January.

No way does EM rock any of the clubs's boats, so to speak.

Also, looks like West Ham are leading the way, with the most recent rumour linking him to them around 3 weeks back.
Our last story was 262 days back, so 8 months and 22 days ago-ish.

Thing is, their model is about buying at low prices, and they are always going to be a mid to lower end team, with a stadium which holds 5,250.

So, yes. They will weaken their team for 10-15m, so they can go and try and find the next 2 or 3 Claytons.

The real question is, are we looking to take him?

Which players have they sold to either us or Olympiacos - deliberately weakening their squad - since EM bought the club?
