An American dentist Walter Palmer was identified yesterday by The Telegraph as the hunter who paid $50,000 to kill one of Africa's most famous lions earlier this month.

A spokesperson for Palmer told The Guardian: "As far as I understand, Walter believes that he might have shot that lion that has been referred to as Cecil."

He looks so proud of himself, ******. However one good thing is that it appears to have destroyed his reputation as a dentist and ruined his business.
They should put him unarmed in a field with a lion and make it a fair fight.
 
I knew what this would be as soon as I read the title. Fcuker should be shot and beheaded.

Seems like a small amount of justice will be served though. Looks like he will lose his dental practice, his money, potentially be prosecuted and possibly have to change his identity such is the uproar on social media.
 
Yup, seen on facebook, totally depressing these people defy belief. Biggest thrill and privilege in my life was going on the safari a few years back... would never enter my mind to want to kill these fine and beautiful animals.
 
What goes through these peoples head? I just don't get it. They must be psychotic to get a thrill from killing an innocent animal.

What does he think? People are gonna walk into his surgery or home, and see a picture of him next to a dead Lion and go "Wow, thats amazing you are so cool"

No, they are all gonna think "You sick fcuk! Die you bastard!"
 
As someone born in Africa and having had the privilege of seeing so many of these beautiful creatures in the wild in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Malawi and South Africa this truly sickens me

I seriously and honestly hope he dies today. I would actually celebrate his death... like he is celebrating that poor innocent animals that obviously went through immense pain before being shot. I may even re join facebook just to send him a message.

Don't know what brings anyone to want to hunt and then pose with a huge grin on their face with the poor animals body in the name of fun. Humans are really fuc##ng up this planet.

He needs to stripped naked, his nuts painted with catnip and then placed in the middle of Cecil's pride - he won't be such a big man then!

Well, hunting is a big thing in parts of the USA. I remember a friend telling me that his teenage daughter (a very dainty little lady) had recently "harvested" an elk.
I asked - "Is the elk dead?"
 
Can someone take a license our to hunt that twat then? Alls fairs in love and war hey me hunter.
 
It really is disgusting. There are few enough of these magnificent animals left.

I've got no problem with hunting for food, but this is just pure evil.
 
I can only hope he has the book thrown at him and his money will not be enough to stop him being imprisoned in a Zimbabwean prison, where I'm sure he will receive a warm welcome.

 
Well the fucker will be regretting it now hope they deport him to Zimbabwe and ends up in one of them hell hole jails and when he gets out I hope his south hole is as big as his north hole.
 
He paid 35k to go and do it. Just insane. I could easily think of 10 million things I would rather spend 35k on than to go and shoot a majestic animal like that.

 
Its not about the money for me. Could have paid $10 or $10million. Fact is he has murdered a endangered and protected animal that just wants to be left alone. What right had he to do that?

That gorgeous animal was a tourist attraction that made/would have made 100,000's every year. The way in which this was done reminds me of the horror film hostel.

If he has that kind of mind frame he must be one sick individual. I hope someone does a number on him, i really do.
