Scoop 6 - One off syndicate for this weekend

DeanoVilla

One Bloody Number
Hi all.

The Scoop 6 Jackpot on the horses this weekend is a whopping £15 million!!!

I don't usually bet on horses other than the grand national, but for £15million I'm really tempted to have a go.

For those of you who don't know about Scoop 6, they pick 6 races on Saturday and you have to pick the winner of all 6 to win the jackpot.

It's £2 per go, but you can have more than one horse per race if you want, but obviously the stake goes up.

I've figured it out and to have 2 horses in each race would cost a total of £128.

So I'm thinking maybe if we could get a syndicate together we could do that.

I don't know much about horses, so I was just gonna pick the 2 horses for each race based on tips, but if anyone who joins knows a thing or two and has a really big fancy then I'm happy to listen to their advice too.

If we can get 8 of us it would be £16 each.

16 of us £8 each.

Anywhere in between... well you can figure it out.

So far me, prepared and my mate Phil are in for it. Anyone else?

£15 million!!! Even knowing bugger all about horses, the odds have gotta be better than the lotto.

FYI,

Even if you don't pick all 6 winners and scoop the jackpot, you can still win about a grand if all 6 are placed.

I remember Phil winning a decent amount in London for the Arsenal game! Lucky sod!

Might be interested mate.... I'll see how many people are doing it first as I never really put much on a bet.

I don't know much about horses Deano, but it sounds a good opportunity to me. Obviously you know a bit more about nags than me, so left in your capable hands, count me IN please.

I'm in , although I tend to follow the jumpers rather than the flat. Gator will be interested I am sure.

A chap last week had the first 5 winners and his 6th horse came second. His was the only ticket left so he would have won the lot.

Yes I heard about that Sir Dennis.

I'm sure if he had any sense he would have layed his horse on that last race, to ensure he still won a bit?

I know I would have.

Ok.

So that's -

Me
Prepared
Phil
Pride
Sir Dennis
Fear
Cheshire

Shall we limit it to 3 more? £12.80 each.

I'm gonna ask a couple of guys at work who I know are into the horses too.

When I have the final list I will PM everyone my bank details and you can do a bank transfer.

or Paypal. Whichever is easiest.

Phil
Pride
Sir Dennis

Barney

2 spaces left (assuming those in the list above are all happy with £12.80?)

Was only talking about the same thing on Monday but why limit the places the more the merrier I say because in some races you definitely need more than two horses whilst if you have a well odds on in another you may only have to go with that one leaving you able have extra in the harder races.Either way though I would come in.

Ok nice one Gator.

We can discuss the finer points once we have all our people. 10 was just a suggested number. Prep is being greedy. he don't get out of bed for less that £1.5 million. haha.

Yeah sound mate just let me know the details I will also be glad to help in anyway and give you my thoughts on all the races obviously Prep has very expensive tastes I just think the more you cover the field the better the odds in our favour.
