Are BLADES bovvered who wins? I'd like to see Chezzy start their climb back to League 2. The winner travels to Torquay next saturday in the play off semi final. The final is at Ashton Gate on 20th June.UTB

Good that one of those two will be back in the league.
They've 2 more games after today before they're back in the league Herby, but yeah i agree it would be good to have one back in the league and if it is Chezzy perhaps they could have a "derby" with the fake massives after next season. UTB

Ah. Should have read the post. Assumed it would be the final, being at 4pm on a Saturday. Late finish to the season for them. Hope one of the bigger, traditional league clubs get back up. Probably Notts County for me.

What seems noticeable this season in that league is that the bigger clubs are pretty much all at the top. It's usually more random than that. I guess it's due to their financial power during times all these clubs have had to make major cutbacks.

Come on Chezzy, stuff their wheelbarrow right up their jacksie.

It's been sad to watch the decline of Chesterfield after Casino Dave got his greedy little trotters on them. Just the status of having a league club is important for the town.

If you look at your link Sean it says Stockport are in the final on sunday mi owd pal.o_O:help:On the Beeb sport website on the summary for todays County v Chezzy game it says the winner will travel to Torquay and the final is at Ashton Gate on the 20th June. They are making it confusing mi thinks.:giggle: Chezzy 2-1 up.UTB

The link I posted shows Torquay v TBC in the Final. The BBC really are shite at pretty much everything. Apart from protecting Paedophiles and bent interviewers like that piece of shit Bashir.

I guess the winners of tomorrows game between Hartlepool and Bromley will play Stockport in the other semi, advertised as a final, or not.

County score to make it 3-2 in the last minute(Ellis),from the bits i've seen Chezzy were hangin on a bit towards the end of the game.Finished 3-2 to the scabs.UTB

Hard luck Chezzy may be next year.

Without a major cash injection into the squad it'll be tough. Rowe overachieved squeezing a top 6 finish from his team.

The first season in the national league they had the budget to walk it, but Jon Sheridan absolutely screwed that season up whilst being on more money than he was when he managed them in League One.

One of the best PO matches I've watched. Not the skill but the intensity.
Chessy had three chances to score a winner. Good luck to them next time.

Torquay v Scab County on satdi.Stockport v Monkey Hangers on sundi. The winners meet o fathers day(20th june)at Brizzle City's Ashton Gate to see who makes it back into the EFL.All 4 were regulars in the EFL not so long ago,i've been on all 4 grounds and i remember there being quite a bit of fightin at Hartlepool in the season we won the 4th division championship.UTB

The team which finished 2nd should deserve to go which is Torquay who collected more points over a 42 game season. Never been a supporter of the playoffs, not because we can't win them, but a league is about collecting the most points over a season to gain promotion. It's just a money making exercise, that has crept into football, it's all about opinion but I wouldn't miss them.

Stockport are my tip they’ve been on fire 2nd half of season and I think finished top scorers in the league (may be wrong on that so don’t hold me to it)

Agree about the playoffs but it extends the season for the above average teams and gives them a bit of hope. It is definitely all about money but it does bring an exciting run-in for a lot of clubs where without them, their season would just fizzle out into nothingness with a month or so to go.
