Couple of good games, got the shits, now injured

30 millions seems like a lot of money for that

Could have brought Ryan Yates a new watch and got the same result?

Had his best game this week against high flying Luton where someone in the crowd is suggesting that at one point he reached 11kmph in a sprint and still nearly won the tackle.
Of course despite tens of thousands of people across the globe asking for evidence of this they have failed to produce any so far. We watch with interest

Especially when you consider we had to sell Jonno and his goals to finance it, the transfer of which we had to hold off on to get the price we needed which in turn will now give us a points deduction which will relegate us.
All to replace a much improved Mangala, who we didn’t need to sell.

Again recruitment.
My daughters good do better.
They’re 9 and 6.

I think there is a player in here, but if we survive, then its next season to judge him. A bit like Mangala, but 20m more in cost.

So firstly survive, and secondly whoever our manager is needs to get him performing in the 6 role as a starter week in week out and contributing.

So it's Sangare and Nuno and recruitment blame time?

Seeing as we can't blame refs or VAR this week?

Personally I think we've recruited very well overall

Premier League is so tough and competitive

We've signed some real quality

In amongst the disappointments
We have signed some quality, no doubt. But I don’t think we’ve signed anyone ‘ outstanding’ although I concede that is really difficult to do.
It’s the disappointments that are killing us and the seemingly lack of cohesive thinking.

I mean why sign Sangare to get rid of Mangala?
How many keepers do we have to sign ?
What was Santos about?
How many gambles can a club take with none paying off, CHO, Lingard, Origi?

It’s almost like there’s more than one transfer strategy at the club…..

The only way a club like Forest ( Provincial, new to the big league, unfashionable, no big name manager etc) were going to get an outstanding player was to pursued an old player that they were joining a project and pay him big money. Given that the clubs stated aims are to buy young players " and add value to them" that wasn't going to happen unless we were very lucky. Actually we have been lucky in a couple of instances haven't we?

Sangare was always a risk, particularly at that price and with his initial reluctance.

He has ability and is good on the ball but there was a reason bigger clubs weren’t interested. The fact that he has come from a weaker league doesn’t help.

He could still come good but given Dominguez came in and looks quality it’s no wonder people are asking the question.

Interestingly, our first choice - Amrabat - has totally failed at Man Ure. Too slow for DCM and being played at left back. He will be going back to Italy where he can have a chat with Freuler…

There always has to be the bad guy.
Someone to blame.
Professional victims always have to someone to throw their ire at.

On that note,Just watching the highlights, for their goal as the corner comes in Toffalo is yanked back and slips over, he would have been in the mix to head it if he hadn't.

If you ever stop laying Devil's Advocate with everyone over everything, then the world would probably stop spinning and Kate Middleton will suddenly reappear.

Wolfie, you are coming across really preachy at the moment.

We shouldnt blame the refs

We shouldn't blame the P&S rules or the commission or anything else

We shouldn't do this

We shouldn't do that

Maybe you should be the Pope if you have such Catholic levels of self blame and self loathing?

Why are we now not allowed to apportion blame anywhere. In fact it's not blame it's just option and critique We are struggling, not playing well and there are a multitude of reasons why, it's to be expected that people on a forum will want to discuss why things are going wrong. What's your view on who or what is to blame.

Well, we are certainly to blame for blowing the 6 points lost v Palace away and the 2 Luton games.

The refs and VAR have unquestionably cost us a minimum of points against

United away
Bournemouth at home
Newcastle at home
Brentford away
Liverpool at home

So that’s 11 points right there at the hands of ourselves v Palace and both managers shite subs v Luton, and the total ineptitude of referees and VAR

You could also point to the non penalty call on Yates v Everton and last weeks non red card for another 2 points, but that’s maybe pushing it.

We should be in the mid 30’s on points today

I've said all along its a tough league and every point is hard to win

I think a lot of people expected it to be a lot easier than it actually is

It absolutely is a tough league and every season ‘good sides ‘ do go down. You only have to look at the top of the championship to see that.
Just because you find yourself in the bottom 3 doesn’t necessarily mean you are a shit side.

But given the money the Greeks have thrown at it and the investment in the squad and the time it’s taken us, not a small club by any means to get back to the top flight I’d hoped we might give a slightly better account of ourselves.

Let’s be honest we should have been relegated last season, but a combination of the Coops effect and the City ground effect probably kept us up.

Be interesting to know where you think the blame lies

We aren't being outclassed in the games we lose generally

Have lost a lot of game by a single goal that could have been draws

And drawn a lot of games that could have been wins

We aren't far off being a mid table side if we can stay up
