Manager Steve Bruce has revealed that Carlos Sanchez will soon make the permanent switch to Fiorentina.

He never was able to adapt to the speed of the English game.
Didn't make him a bad player, just unfortunate.
I doubt we'll get back what we paid for him but, that's what happens to capital outlay in this game.
The big savings for us will come from his salary outlay and the reduction in the squad numbers, reduced by two, with Kozak leaving as well.
 
I have read that he would have done a job for us this season. Short memories. He was awful,

Another case of a player who is always better when they are out on loan/injured/left the club anywhere but playing for us.
 
Basic error after basic error after basic error, and always on the edge of our 18 yard box .
Nice enough bloke but not what we require
 
Always a mystery as the guy played shed loads of times for Columbia so we are are not talking obscure football nation either.

But yes error after error, can see that being the case if he played in the championship aswell. Wouldn't cope.
 
Decent enough player just not suited to England. He did like to get stuck in and would play a few lovely passes every now and then but would then dwell on the ball for way too long or just simply miss place a 5 yard pass straight to an opposition striker on the edge of our box. I'd read somewhere that we'd agreed a fee of £2.5m for him which wouldn't be bad for a player of his age. Hopefully we'll get more for Gil and Veretout.
 
Thought he was woeful. Ball control was awful and always gave away silly free kicks in the very worst of positions leading to goals against.

Never seen my dad so animated about a player and his inability to string a few passes together. He'd work hard to get the ball back and then give it away again!
 
Shame really

For all his faults he would have walked this league.

Youmake an error in the epl , 9 times out of 10 you get punished. Make it in the Champ 9 out of 10 you dont.

Need an equivelant type player

No holtelower, he would not have. If you can't retain the ball in any league you get punished.

This league is pants which makes it even more gauling that we are mid table

but not good enough for a midtable championship side.
hey ho - I'd guess Vertout after a whole season playing for St Etienne will probably also struggle to displace Henri or Conor.
Maybe we've got some real quality lined up already ?
