I'm not wading through that one thread, so I've moved it out of sight.

If you don't like another user, instead of wasting precious life, why not put them on ignore?

If anything needs doing, you'll have to let me know, because when I do a ban following alerts, most then tell me to lift it.

This is meant to be a football forum, I'm (or anyone else involved with running the forums) not here to wade into political arguments or user spats, or indeed hizzy fits.

All a bit playground isn't it?

As said, there is an ignore button, just press the username, click ignore, hey presto, gone.
 
Not really sure why the Reform thread got moved Jonathan. As one of the thread contributors (especially in the past few days) I don't think was anything to justify this action. Me and MiW were 2 of the main protagonists in the "running battle", but I'm pretty certain that MiW wouldn't have made the complaint, and I know I haven't. Neither can I imagine that other recent contributors (from memory, Hindley, Jock and Th10 and Daleks) would have complained, and I'd be seriously disappointed if it were Lord of the Pies.

If it was anyone else, then why bloody read it - not contributing in any way - only to complain. It's in Off Topic, & it's harming no-one.

To be honest, there was nothing nasty in any way. I can only suggest that it's probably best to ignore alerts from this site unless they reach some kind of critical mass ... eg more than one.

While you're here though, ta for all that you do do ... even though some if it probably doesn't need doing. ;)
 
Just noticed the de facto politics had gone and the other one moved. I echo the above Fear/Jonathan, is there really a need for this?

Certainly the ‘spat’ with Moonay and myself was on the politics one was mild. In fact given what goes on half the time on this board, by many members, it wouldn’t even register if there was a scale of these things. It actually ended on civilised terms.

I didn’t even respond to what was - and I’ll put this in the blandest term possible - uncalled for personal comments around my grim health prognosis by a different individual. I choose to ignore it as deemed a response was not worth it, so I certainly can’t be accused of not showing self restraint. If you moved the thread because I challenged the same individual and sought explanation for racist comments then I certainly won’t apologise for that as one, it should be challenged - if not then please make that clear - and two, I thought you wanted self policing.

Whilst I can hazard a guess who did alert you, for what reason you removed them, particularly one that seemed to have been ongoing for months on end without issue, I’m at a loss. With respect, a bit more clarity on why is perhaps needed.
 
Just realised it's the Reform thread that's been deleted....as Moonay & MiW have said - why? No real blazing rows, more a case of handbags at dawn....very light handbags at that 😉
 
It hasn't been deleted, it has been moved so it can't be viewed, mainly because it is a sunday and I was getting alerts which to be honest, is tiresome when it isn't football related, the accusations and babyish playground stuff was frankly not worth my time today.

As I said in my initial post, I wasn't wading through that nonsense.

Maybe if people just stop calling each other names, and just debate the points like a forum of semi civilised people instead of that tripe? If people want that sort of debate, twatter is available.
 
Apologies to Third Avenue. When I listed recent contributors to the thread, I remembered the "Th" part, but obviously not the rest of the username. 😉
