Rowett

Post just reported that there's no pre match press conference today after all.

wouldn't be surprised if montanier gets his marching orders today.

Odd thing for The Post to call it a pre-match press conference. Technically it would be, but given that the game isn't until Saturday then the using term pre-match is pushing the definition somewhat. Why not just say "press conference"? A pre-match press conference usually takes place on a Friday.

I sincerely hope so as he's a decent made who's led us now through a shit storm not of his making. It's a bit shabby really that Rowett is being openly discussed as the new manager in the media and by fans when PM's still in the job. the sooner he's released, the better for all.

In fact, Gary Brazil would have more chance of getting a result on Saturday than PM, such is the situation with the players at the moment, even if Rowett is not yet appointed.

Surely the deal is at a stage when both parties can agree this is the decent thing to do?

agree completely paplane. Not nice for the man to be hearing from the media about rowett but I suppose that's the nature of the business these days.

he is a very nice man. unfortunately it didn't work out for him.

No often on Thursday before a Saturday game - nothing unusual in that

Think it's often Friday b4 home games & Thursday b4 away games isn't it?

It doesnt bode well the lack of respect does it? ssighh New folks come in and start exactly the same way as the last lot. Talk about how the priority is the club structure cos we cant have success like we are and then sack the coach. Which is exactly the same culture. And its not as if this is a manger choice they wanted years ago, its a spontaneous decision just cos hes the man in the news this week. why do we always have managers that the last club got rid of anyway? hardly changes that second rate feeling straight away does it. Id rather them come in and said PM , this is what he can do with 'real' support, that would have shown confidence in themselves and us

montanier has lost the dressing room. I don't trust him to be able to build a solid defence.

his time is over.

Who was the last manager we actually poached from another club? Calderwood maybe, although I think even he was at the end of his Northampton contract.

Generally when you hire a new manager he's going to have been sacked by someone at some point, how many managers out there have never been sacked?

I don't really want Monty sacked, would like to see what he could do with a more stable squad & players of his own choosing, but if someone is going to buy a business for £50,000,000 then pump additional cash in on top of that you can't really begrudge him wanting his own choice of head coach to run things.

Didn't disagree with Fawaz sacking Baldrick, admittedly mainly because he was outrageously shite, it's all the sackings afterwards that have caused the problem.

Someone just posted this link on the other forum. It's talking about PM's time at Rennes.

Listen from 10.30 onwards. They could literally be talking about us, now. It's identical.

Same approach, same mistakes.
