Just when I thought we had gone an entire Transfer Wondow without a snub, finally this “rag-ego-boosting” so-called paper manages to discover one, apparently. In the absence of any sustained success in the past few years they have to be cosseted with the idea that players don’t join them for the money.

No he did snub us, we would not pay the money so he did not have the chance to snub us so Harry and the Mirror :finger:

You know the other thing is whether there was ever an offer of wages made. Maybe these were his wage demands which the club refused to meet and so told him to do one......:tongue:

the papers could make up any figure they like, this is a get on side with the Stretford Fans, they could not print Maguire would have loved to sign for City but took the second best option and not mentioning the fact that City refused to pay the asking price.
 
Why did no-one have a go at Justoutside Manchester when they were winning and buying everything in sight, no columns of how do you stop them, is it fair that they should buy all the best players, why should anyone sign for City when Taggart comes knocking on your door and ambushing you at Manchester Airport.
 
Slab head did well in the WC and he is home grown, but he aint an 80M defender.
I think we chose he was too pricey and Ferna can do a CB job for us, so how was we snubbed?

That's interesting & if true & the mirror are wrong they should be asked to retract their BS story and publish an apology for broadcasting a falsehood. But we all know that won't happen as they are slimy pond dwellers.
 
The Mirror is a well know rag paper, whilst we hate the Fail, I don't think it has leanings one way or the other and martin Samuel has always been kind to us.
 
Exactly - I also refuse to look at Express group garbage not least because they make the privacy controls so convoluted that it is impossible to change the settings without losing the will to live.
