Guilty on all charges.

I thought he was a very talented entertainer , but clearly has a dark side and hopefully will be rightfully punished for some pretty sordid crimes.
 
Yes all 12 counts of indecent assault. Sentencing on Friday he's been told to expect a custodial sentence.
 
Such a shame, purely filthy people, just awful how they all seem to have got away with it for so long.

I've said it before, it doesn't go down well with some, but I'd just shoot the perverts.
 
Oh,mi case it is misinterpreted, I mean such a shame for the victims and also our generation who grew up with these entertainers, we all thought they were great and then you find this out.

Some people must have known what was going on, they should be hung out to dry as well.
 
I reckon a similar tariff to that received by Max Clifford. Reasonable to assume he'll die in jail, if that's the case.

I used to enjoy his Cartoon Time and general tomfoolery. But terrible to think the horror and degradation he inflicted on young impressionable teenaged girls.
 
It's really sad mate, these people were loved and trusted.

Vile and so very disappointing. As said, people must have known surely?
 
Makes you wonder though mate this guy was chosen to paint the Queen you would have thought if there had been any sniff of this he would never have got any where near Her Maj but of course someone would have known well his daughter did.
 
Well, my childhood whilst practically very good, wasn't exactly stable. Let's put the smile on to the world. We are the perfect family with extended type.

TV radio and books were part of the escape. Been too many memories chipped away over the years of Gary Glitter, many years ago, then there was the BCR member. Jimmy Saville I always thought was creepy when I gotten older. Just glad I didn't get a 'Jim will fix it'

With Stuart Hall, and now Rolf Harris being charged and found guilty too. I loved watching It's a Knockout, too.

Been loads been arrested too, not charged, so you can only gather they are innocent. Then we Bill Roache. Never liked him but that doesn't mean he was guilty and he was found not guilty. Then DLT. He been found not guilty of all but 2 which are being retrailed.

I hope to God there is no more to come out of the woodwork. They need to if there is, for the people's sake however I hope this is it.
 
You do have to wonder how all of these sex offenders rose through the BBC and became so close to the powers that be in British society. There is something really off here.
 
I think the problem was, that there just wasn't the laws and understanding then in place BB. That doesn't make it right. Abuse of some shape or another has always gone on through history.

It is the last 30 years which has bought the heightened awareness, I suppose starting with Esther Rantzen campaign and childline. Unfortunately people have to suffer first and fight for change for anything to change.

We have grown in such a world where sexual abuse is abhorrent. It seems another life since it was how it was. We were part of it however 24/7 media has also made everything so directly accessible today. Today it feels like we are in it, not apart from it

The 24/7 media and virtual means we know everything has it is happening. Back then you waited days/weeks to find out information in the news etc, if not longer depending on how long you go back in history.

People still feel ashamed of admitting to it today, so coming out with repressed memories that have been held down so long is even harder. I know it from experience, how it feels
 
Totally disagree, it was as abhorrent then to society, but it was all covered up. Whoever covered it up should have their heads removed. I'd be more than happy to do it.
