Honestly, I wondered what parallel universe I had wandered into yesterday evening when I stumbled across the video on Sky of Brendan Rdgers bleating stream of consciousness as he tried to justify his team selection for the Champions League fixture against Real Madrid. Quite possibly the longest sentences I have ever had to endure as he cobbled together excuse after excuse for not selecting some of his usual first team players including Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho & Balotelli.....

I thought the the bit about having to play 7 games in 21 days was particularly humoerous. Welcome to the real world Brendan.

I'm happy for him to rest players against Madrid if it means he's kept some of them fresh for Chelsea.

Not that I actually expect that shower to do anything against Moaninho's men. Guess the new found unhinged craziness in Rogers is down to the fact that he sees a light at the end of the tunnel, but realises it's an express train.

He'll be gone before Christmas, mark my words

So, we got fined £15k for being 30 seconds late to the second half of a game two seasons ago. Will Liverpool be fined for not fielding their strongest team?
