Who would've thought when he scored on his debut in English football against us back in 1995 as part of the "Three Amigos" that 23 years later he'd be managing a side in the semi-finals of the World Cup?

Leo Fortune-West surely has to be in contention for any international managerial vacancies that come up after this World Cup has finished?

He may well win it yet. Bit of trivia...what other world cup winners have played agaisnt us?

For the record, I don't know the answer yet!

I'll start off with Henry, Wiltord and Pires, Gilberto Silva?

Maybe Dessailly, Dechamps and Leboeuf.
 
Preston had both Bobby Charlton (player-manager) and Nobby Stiles (player-coach) in 74-75 so possibly both of them played against us.

Gills 2 PNE 1 (Feely 2, Elwiss).

Bobby Charlton number 11 for them. I was at the match. (just looked it up on Gillinghamscrapbook, saddo that I am).
 
Martin Peters played against us for Norwich in a friendly - late 70s. Not sure if he played in either of the 2 League Cup games against us for Norwich home/away 1979/80.
