The young forward is set to miss the next three months with a fractured metatarsal.
“We’re gutted and disappointed for him and for us. He still doesn’t know quite how he did it – maybe it was the hard pitches with the weather as it is – but he’s had an operation on Monday to repair the bone and he feels it has gone well. He’s now got a period in the gym where he can make himself stronger for his return,” the manager added.
