RIP Deadly Doug Ellis

if you believe in heaven and the after life I bet Tony Barton can't wait to bump into the old git.
RIP.

Divisive news. Obviously all thoughts go out to his family, no matter what the thoughts of Villa are, they have lost a partner / dad / granddad - not nice.

Re: Villa. I am not going to be a hypocrite and therefore that really does give conflicting emotions, for next Saturday. I have thought hard today about what I will do and come up with this.

A minutes silence I will obey out of respect
A minutes applause -I will still be silent, I will not take part

RIP Doug. You were a gentleman who always gave your time to chat to fans, even when times were tough for you. I loved the GT, Big Ron and Little eras, some great memories.

Maybe we could do the reverse of what normally happens when someone dies and unname a stand after him.

Good idea! However he seemed to be well thought of by many of our old players going on what is on the official site
