Rick Parfitt

Don't think he's ever found it possible to take it easy. Had bad problems (as sirdennis said) many years back as well and then got back up again to continue rocking!

True story this. When i as at uni in london in the mid 90's, one night after pub closing we went back to the student union. Upon arrival it seemed more lively than usual. Went in and Rick Parfitt was in the bar strumming his guitar surrounded by pissed up students. He was naturally off his head. At some point i managed to be next to him and with my arm round his shoulders joined in for a rendition or two of 'Rockin all over the world'. I am not really sure how he ended up in our student union but it was a cracking night !!

They always look like they are enjoying themselves them two together.

Loved the old Quo, the newer version was too light for me but they made a bomb so fair play. The auto biog was good, the two of them wrote it together and alternated chapters!

I loved the old Quo too. Have all of their LP's still until they changed the line up. They always come across as pals just enjoying themselves whether being interviewed or on stage. The new line up and change of style was just too soft for me.

Back in the day, the founding members of Status Quo were older than me - now they're younger. Not sure how that works.
I like their new song "Bus-passing all over the world".
Hope he gets better and takes it a bit easier.

Very fond memories of the Quo. They weren't my favourite band, but I did buy two of their first three singles back in the late sixties, "Pictures of Matchstick Men" and "Ice in the Sun".

Then they disappeared from view for a year or two before they released "Down the Dustpipe" in 1970.

Saw them live in Brum for the first time in '69.

As I say, not one of my favourite bands, but I did enjoy a fair amount of their stuff.

Get well soon Ricky lad.
