Richest 1% Close to more wealth than the other 99% combined.

I believe if you earn over 30,000 you are in the top 1% of the world... so you're probably talking about 0.000000001% who hold the most ridiculous amounts...

Sure look at Karl Pilkingtons moaning of life, met this guy who came from the slums of South Africn in Johannesburg earns millions upon millions... Even that fuck isnt helping Africa and he came from that shit cant be surprised at these other lads.. If I had millions Id only help my community and expand outwards... People go to Africa to help the poor sods there but dont careless about the people in their own country never mind their community...

There was a good bbc show on the super rich... still on catch up I think.

The 1% really do 'own' the rest of us. They've sold us the debt, made more money out of it and in effect chained us to our jobs. No debt, you can move about, these millstones and you can't.

That is a good point Fear dude, get yourself out of debt or don't bother with credit cards unless paying them off A.S.A.P after using them, i will be free from debt in another 2 years max bit longer than i wanted but now with a job on the horizon whenever i feckin start that is lol i should be as free as a dodo,,,,yo watch i will pop me clogs as soon as i pay off me loan wouldn't surprise me.

How do you work that out KK? I know for a fact that my anual income is way more than the UK average (not boasting, it needs to be with Norwegian prices) and yet I don't come in the top 1%in the world.

I clicked on the link, entred my income and it said I was top 7.5%. I only end uo top 1% if i have my income with noone else living in the house.
 
If that's for real Kefkat I'm going to stop moaning about how much I earn! Hope my wife doesn't find out she'll stop me turning down the thermostat.

That's pretty much the only way the elite could be disbanded, they've got us sown up with no chance of escape.

Latest story here in 1st world Britain, NHS in crisis, meanwhile many of the uber rich corporations aren't even paying their tax. Utter farce. Biggest pyramid scheme ever.
 
The secret is, not to worry about wealth and money. At the end of the day, life is just about experiences, feelings etc. A rich man can be sad, stressed as well as poor man. On the grand scale none of the materialistic stuff matters. Sure we all need the basic provisions in life - shelter, food, warmth blah de blah but most of humanity has lost the plot. We have allowed money to control our lives to the point that we miss all the good stuff.
I spend a whole day last summer sitting on a quiet beach until I seen the sun set beyond the sea line - the day cost me nothing and yet it remains a great day. No amount of money could change that day. The funny thing is, it was a clear night as well....and I could have spent it all just looking up at the stars, maybe I will save that one for this Summer...:)
 
That's true man, but I bet you didn't have to worry about where your kids were sleeping that night, or where your next meal was coming from, that tends to take the edge off an otherwise nice day I imagine.

I know what you mean, and you're right in a lot of ways, but the way the money is being hoovered up, shit and fans are meeting at an ever increasing rate. We're just lucky we were born in a rich country, for most of the world they are in relative poverty, a lot in real desperate poverty, and almost everyone is getting poorer all the time.

The ones who don't need it are getting most of it.
