Revolutions take time.....

Perhaps the best and most concise description of Pep's 'juego de posición' philosophy that I have come across and one which hopefully is helpful in understanding how he wants his teams to play and the challenges faced in bringing this into a team of established professionals. Having an idea of the mental grid' that players need to visualise and work within is illuminating. I think the players have gotten better at it!

"You can't bring about a revolution overnight"

They certainly look more confident in playing out from the back, but why highlight City as the media do, when a few other teams do the same.

I think Pellers was lucky in his first season he inherited a good team which steadily went down hill of expectation, can Pep get players in that he needs from his 'A' list?

This 'playing out from the back' myth is one which is popular in the media - City are not alone in doing it and it is not a revolutionary idea. Many teams employ this approach but it has been built up into a stick to beat Guardiola with - whenever it goes wrong it gets highlighted far more when City play than other sides.

Obviously because we were not very good at it from the off and was easy to attack, but if done properly is can be devastating to a team that presses, but we have to be on our toes and it is not always the goalkeepers fault when it goes wrong as the pundits would have the viewers and readers believe.

Its not the English way Hoddle says, but if it was then we may do better on the International stage. off Topic, they slagged off JH1 for dropping a bollock yesterday, why only the city keepers, it's because they don't want to upset the rag fans and the dippers fans

We face a red media either rag tops or pundits,I don't think Pep helps he makes it plain he don't like them, but as a blue I just get frustrated as he keeps changing things seems stubborn and it's my way or the high way
At the end of the day are you sure where we are going because I am not,if it's like this, this time next year it's a different story and it will be a mess
Of course we will give him time

This revolution started back in the heady late summer of 2008, but y'know, it's a gentle revolution.

One thing is for certain, this revolution will be advertised, franchised, publicised and televised on Sky and BT Sport.
