Results going for the Rams again

Bloomeram

Alert Team
Well a very satisfying Easter Weekend and most results went for the Rams, are we living too near the edge in expecting results to go for us, or have we turned a corner with Dropping Keogh, Fozzy and others?

Thought Sheffield United had come into the play-off scene last night but Cardiff had that will to get something from the game that all promotion teams must have and deserved their equaliser.

It is just a shame our game in hand over the chasing bunch has to be against Cardiff themselves. Funny how the Rams had a game in hand when sitting second themselves just a few short weeks ago.

Bloomer...sad question. Do you really, hand on heart, want us to go up now?
It’s a bad question for a supporter to ask I know and elsewhere I’ve provided a list of players I’d like to keep for next season. That list was on the basis of us going nowhere now and would be halved, imo, if we achieve promotion. Teams do go up undeservedly...us against WBA and QPR against us, but they seldom flourish.
It’s almost impossible not to want it to happen but, in our current state, don’t we run the risk of 2007-8 all over again?

And finally someone might break our 2007-8 futility record - even if it's us again. Although Newcastle are likely to still be up there to give us a win.

Either way the current squad will have to be dismantled, its just how it will be done. The best end product might be losing a Wembley final to get the gate money, with a revitalised Chris Martin scoring a hat trick to boost his transfer value?

Lol...with Jaap Stam having been recently sacked I wonder if Chris Martin has set some kind of record for being associated with managerial sackings over the last four years.

To be honest I think it is all about finance. Mel has poured money into the team and h quite rightly expects a return or at least lower his losses.

That said I could see Mel having to put his hand deeper into his pocket to make us competitive in the Premiership.

In answer to your original question, I wouldn't want to see this side, without several choice additions go up this season........................Trouble is the alternative is a good few years trying to get back to a position we were in against QPR........................Will be interesting to see just what happens.

If we get the chance to go up then we take it. Yes there will need to be additions, but there is also the increased revenue to pay for those additions so Mel wont have to dig that deep. Whereas if we stay in the championship he will.
