Remember when............

impsimps

Vital Football Hero
we played on August Bank Holiday Mondays
2013 - Wrexham home won 2-0, gate 2,610
2014 - Halifax away, lost 2-3, gate 2,369
2015 - Gateshead away, lost 0-2, gate 1,248
2016 - Gateshead home, won 3-0, gate 3,687

Seems like a different world now but that was reality for too long.

Lost 3-1 to Darlington in 2011 and drew with Gateshead 2-2 late on in 2012 both away.
Tomorrow we go to Blackburn what a difference heh?!

Not to mention Runcorn Home in 1987 which we won 1-0 . That was the first of several games that had large punch-ups in that season.

Remember many dark days when I first started following the Imps in the early 60's.open side, half way line. Loadsaroom most of the time of course. All we ever knew was the tensions associated with applying for re-election. A bit different now of course, but they were kind of happy days too. Remember helping to clear the snow from the pitch so a game against Scunny could go ahead..didn't expect to lose that game 0-2. Ron Gray days!!
Really looking forward to future now under the Cowleys in our brand new "fit for purpose" stadium which every true long suffering City fan deserves.

That away defeat at the Shay sticks in the memory as it was pissing down with rain and the Imps scored in the first couple of minutes when the ball cannoned of back-side Bencherif's back side and Jordan Burrow flattered to decieve.

On a related note its good to see the Shaymen top of the Conference at the moment.

A fair number of players 'flattered to deceive' over that period.

A fair few just deceived.....

My vote goes to Simon Weaver on the 1st half. But, equally it could be Callum Howe or Jack Muldoon you decide.

After quite a few years at Harrogate appearing to not achieve a lot other than hold them steady, the last couple of years Weaver seems to have done a fair old job at Harrogate. I believe the change started 3 seasons ago, one before they went Full Time.

Wish him all the best, if he’s putting half the effort into management that he put in every time he donned the red and white he’ll do alright.

Agreed. Weaver has done a great job at Harrogate, they really should have beaten Fylde yesterday.

Harrogate looked a solid enough outfit.

Rowe didn't get into the game, Howe was quiet albeit against an equally quiet attack. Muldoon full of running but little else.
