Once we get City out the way with in a couple of weeks our run in must be fairly favourable, although you could argue the big games is where you can win titles. I'll go with 8 points there

I think all the wins are about right but I think Manky City is also a win. I don't think City is THAT good yet, they could improve if Pep get the side going but at the moment, I still think they're vulnerable.

Impossible to predict, remember injuries & suspensions have to be taken into account. Then we have the distraction of the cups including the dreaded Europa albeit in the knockout stages. Realistically we can't afford to lose any more than 1 of those fixtures if we are to mount a serious title challenge.

7 points for me too.

The two teams that match up the best against Liverpool are Chelsea and Spurs. If Wanyama and Dembele play the way they did against Chelsea we should destroy Liverpool. Without their attack they are nothing.

Spurs have won 4 times in the last 68 league meetings at Anfield. They came in 1985, 1986, 1993 and 2011.

I agree their defence and midfield is nothing special. But we struggle to win their. From what I have seen under Klopp, when we have played them we have struggled.

IMO our strongest 11 is better than theirs, but as we know mentality is key in big games.

We still have a few monkey's on our backs we need to get rid of. Beating the chavs at Stamford Bridge, Finishing above the scum, beating the scouse more often would help. 2 wins at Anfield since the prem begun is not good enough.

If we win at Anfield then something special could happen.

Which makes the probability of a win at Anfield even more likely.

We also need to thump West Brom. Another monkey.

We are mentally tough. Disciplined. We are not winning by luck.

I really think we are gong to finish 2nd.

An interesting thread, 80.

It's a tricky one, alright, and obviously things could go awry, but that win against Chelsea was a massive one. Given they were top and on an 13 match winning run, the relative ease with which we beat them, must have repercussions with those other top teams, as well as fill our team with confidence. It's also good that we do play them in that order. I do reckon our earlier defeat of City didn't do them any long-term good and I'm hoping the Chelsea game will have similar effects. City and Liverpool away would be looking very different if we'd drawn or lost against Chelsea.

I think we must have the most favorable games against the rest of the top 6

We have the two remaining away games with plenty of time to catch up on potential dropped points, then the two remaining games at home.

Apart from Chavs and ourselves who have 4 games left against top six, the other top six sides have 5 games against each other. If we can get 7 points from our games as some have predicted, then I believe we will finish second.
It's no coincidence that our upturn in league form began after CL group stages, we lost to M.U. the weekend after CSK game. But since then it has been 5 straight wins, we have 5 games before Europa league starts.
The positive is we play both Citeh and Pool away before then, this makes me think we have a good chance of getting positive results. We have a good draw in Europa, minimal travelling, and the away leg first.
But the start of Europa is a worry for me.

I will be surprised if we don't beat City. There is something very wrong there. Part of which is I think Pep is finding out he is not the football messiah he thought he was.

I still think we will get 10 points out of these 4 games.

Results today have gone our way, we have an opportunity to put a nail in Citeh coffin. We simply must take it, we have all week to prepare so I'm sure Poch will have them fired up. Pool are the early game, they will certainly hammer Swansea.

Pool, arse and chavs have easy games next week. We need to beat citeh, I cant see the others dropping points.

We are going to have a few "stay in the mix" weeks.
