Stood side by side with the real Newcastle fans/protesters today on the streets behind the Gallowgate & not in the carrier bag arena.
Guessing around 500 to 700,hard to tell when you're in the middle of it all.Didn't feed the ducks but watched the game in the bar,brilliant result & back to the Gallowgate.
The scenes after reminded me of the miners strike,was a picture watching the scabs in their thousands walking past the protestors,quite a few with heads hung & not a murmur.
Felt proud to be part of it with my lad& grand kid (his pic is on the Chron website with his glory day top & flat cap).
This small protest along with its passion & anger needs to be sustained.Feels like we've finally found a voice.
Let's stop whispering to the fkn slug.

Supposedly 31,075. TV will look deceptive but even then there were loads of empty spaces.

The bits you dont see on TV were less than half full including level 7 and the platinum club as the pictures show.

even if we all wanted a performance today or even in the last remaining games, how on earth are the players going to deliver it with carver constantly in every interview saying that some players are not good enough??! really motivating and inspiring, thanks John!

Tbf he's in a situation where he's got 5 1/2 years left on his contract so he wont resign but he knows he's not good enough so he's putting himself through a living hell and damaging his home town club in the process. Ashley is behind all of this of course but Carver won't leave because of money which basically means morally he's just as bad as the bloke that makes all our lives hell.
