Release Lists

Tranmere sneaked theirs out a couple of weeks ago, releasing Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Michael Higdon and Marcus Holness; defender Matt Hill has also been released since then.

Delano may end up at one of the London Clubs - Boreham Wood, Bromley or Sutton; Kamdjo was on loan at Boreham Wood last season and played against us there - we struggled against him.

Kamdjo was a real handful that night.

I wonder when we will here from SB about our release/retained/offered list?

In today's echo and on banter John Pakey did a piece about the Cowleys, it mentioned about the players and the retained list announcement will be very soon. Just waiting for a couple more chats before it's finally made public, 10 players under contract.

I have also just seen that John Pakey said he doesn't expect any contracted players to be put on the transfer list unlike last season.

Very much liked the look of Clovis Kamdjo at Boreham Wood (he was on loan there I believe) when playing against us. Ran the show imo.

It has all gone a bit quiet. Still waiting for Boreham Wood, Braintree, Bromley, Chester, Dover, Guiseley, Lincoln, Maidstone, North Ferriby, Solihull, Southport, Sutton and Woking.

Wrexham look to be in a spot of bother, though. All 23 players were out of contract; they released 16 and made contract offers to the remaining 7; so far, only Sean Newton and Mark Carrington have signed, and two of the others - Jamal Fyfield and Kayden Jackson - have declined and left. The other 3 have yet to decide, which must be a bit worrying for Mr Mills. In addition, they have lost promising 17-year-old winger Jonny Smith to Bristol City. Therefore, Wrexham currently have only 3 players under contract - Newton, Carrington and new signing Kai Edwards. Transfer target Rhys Taylor has declined an offer from Wrexham, having been released by Newport. Their fans are getting worried already.

Blimey, that's some re-build!

I don't expect Wrexham to be there or thereabouts next season.

Have Braintree appointed a manager yet? If not who is making their decision?

By the end of this week by all accounts, some similar names to the ones mentioned for here in the frame unsurprisingly.

Wrexham's Captain is also looking doubtful at signing a new deal, although some think he's just wanted a 2-year one.

Seems Wrexham are only offering 1 year deals out (at the minute), hence losing 3 to Gateshead who gave them 2 years.

And goalkeeper Rhys Taylor - who spent time on loan at Wrexham last season - has stated publicly that he isn't signing because they would not offer any financial assistance with his relocation (he still lives in Newport, poor sod). One year deals, no assistance with relocation, players declining contract offers and leaving without anywhere to go - is this an indication that Wrexham are out of money? They have spent an awful lot of money since they were rescued financially and are still in the National League. Sounds ominous to me.

They're ok I think. Their crowds ended up being way above their initial budget figure.

Also got a bit of money from Danny Ward appearing for Liverpool.

Connor Jennings is non-committal - sounds like he is on his way too.

Happy birthday Andrew Rafferty, 28 today!

Couldn't Dover have planned that better?

Michael O'Connor has decided to leave Port Vale as he is fed up of the commute from Lincoln as he has a young family. He will probably sign for Scunny or another league club close by but got to be worth a cheeky phone call to see just how local he wants to be!

This would be an outstanding signing...make it so, Danny!

We'll never afford his wages!
