Recommend a player - Summer 2021

Udoka Godwin-Malife - Centre back (Forest Green, but out of contract)

21 years old (so compensation would be payable).

Can play anywhere across the back line and has played in both a four and three.

Still needs to develop defensively, but technically very good: completed the most passes of any player in League 2 this season.

Been linked with the Nobbers and Huddersfield.
Signed a new two year deal with FGR.

Kyle Knoyle - Right back (Cambridge, but out of contract)

24 year old who's a real athlete and really kicked on this season, adding a good quality cross/final ball to his game. Chalked up 6 assists in the league as he was named in the League 2 team of the season and was named Cambridge's young player of the season.

Previously spent 2 seasons with our friends at Swindon and a former England U18 international.

Same agent as Grant Ward.
Signed for Doncaster

Josh Bowler - Winger (Free agent)

Linked with us a few weeks ago.

22 years old. Released by Everton who signed him from QPR for £1 million+.

Was going to move in January but had a bad hip injury.

Spent a season on loan at Hull in the Championship but didn't pull up any trees.

Feels like a low floor high ceiling player?

Bristol Live reporting that City may allow Taylor Moore to leave this summer. He is one I would like to see back.

Pelly Ruddock - Central midfielder (Luton, but out of contract)

27 years old (turns 28 next month).

Centre mid who really puts himself about; full of energy and physical.

Luton fans are worried they're going to lose him as they've signed Campbell (who we were linked with).

My central heating engineer, a Watford fan, recommends Jeremy Ngakia, a versatile right back they got from West Ham. Can also play midfield. Might just fit the profile for our recruitment policy.

Jeremy Ngakia - Right back (Watford)

20 year old right back who started out at West Ham before signing for Watford.

Made 25 appearances for them in the Championship this season, but he's definitely second choice behind Kiko Femenia and with Watford's tendency to wheel and deal, could he find himself further down the pecking order in the PL and in need of a loan move and regular first team football to kick on?

Unlike say Laird, this guy is very much an old fashioned right back; absolutely rock solid defensively. Here's a table to highlight this:

Sorry Abel, didn't stick when you first mentioned him but my plumber rates him as one with huge potential so, as ever, a good spot. (y)
