The Sun today says Real Madrid have Lloris on their radar. £60M is the sum being quoted. The Sun says that Levy would demand closer to £67M though. How do they know these things? Of course they probably don’t. The ‘World Cup Winning Goalie is wanted as replacement for Navas, it states. So is there any truth in it? Is The board trying to fund the new Stadium or to buy in more players as Pochettino is quoted as saying today?

That’s what I was thinking ‘EX’. If they did offer money that big, would we sell? Do we really think Lloris is the best GK we could get?

You can never say never in football and if we thought Gazzaniga was ready - and I don't believe we do, we'd probably rip their arms of at the sum....
 
I’m all in favour of watching the markets and if a great prospect becomes available at a good price, buy. As long as the manager and various coaches see them as a real alternative, it can be a bonus, player wise as well as financially. If we sell players on at a huge profit, brilliant. I DON’T agree though with selling to rival teams in the EPL. There is a thought though, that if the manager is not scared about selling a player to another EPL Club, then maybe we should consider it? Maybe?.....
 
Clubs sell to rivals all the time, Torres went to Chelsea, Petr Cech went from Chelski to gooners, Sanchez went from gunners to M.U. Mata went from Chelsea to M.U. so I don't know why we are behaving as we're the only club to do this.
If we get an extra £20m and that extra £20m enable us to replace him and strengthen another position, doing that makes perfect sense to me.
