Reports suggest Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri turned down an approach from Real Madrid to replace Zinedine Zidane.

The Frenchman surprisingly stepped down last week, having just secured a third Champions League triumph in a row.

Los Merengues were immediately linked with a move for the Bianconeri boss, but today’s Gazzetta dello Sport states that Allegri politely turned them down.

Former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, a friend of Madrid President Florentino Perez, was used as an intermediary, having had a close relationship with Allegri during his time at San Siro.

The Juve Coach made it clear he was flattered by the approach, but that he didn’t intend to go back on his commitment to stay in Turin.

Allegri has already rejected Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal to stay with Juventus, and is in no hurry to leave the club,

Hilarious. Even the biggest dog of them all is getting pied. About time.

Them being the biggest and best is kind of a fraud anyway. They have pretty much been given what they wanted by their government for decades.

Wankers.

If you view it entirely financially...if you're already on a massive salary and your job is fairly secure, why would you move for a 10-20% pay rise to one of the least secure jobs going? For Poch it's unlikely they'd be offering a bigger pay hike than that as we're paying him a fortune already.

Report this morning on the BBC football website quoting that they have contacted AVB. ,,,,?
Methinks they might be getting desperate if this has any substance to it

Lopetegui reportedly said this back in 2015…

Julen Lopetegui on Bale in 2015, “A player at Real Madrid has to give 100% all the time. If he doesn’t then he might as well leave. La Liga is totally different to the Premier League. A player like that wouldn’t get into my team.” Doesn’t sound good for the Welshman. #RM

think he's got the leagues the wrong way around there...
I've been at a couple games in Spain not involving the top 3 and it was so slow paced you thought the players might sit down and have a picnic.

Has Bale been accused of not giving 100%? Does being injured count?

He has constantly been criticised - even used as a scape goat for losses/poor team performances for not tracking back, not covering and not tackling....

And they've lost patience over him over his injuries and do directly compare his playing record again Ronaldo's.

As I said on the summer thread, I'm told by an impeccable source that there isn't any major clubs bashing down RM's door at the moment to talk to them/him..

Which isn't a great sign for Bale or RM who will now be thinking they can only move him on at a greatly reduced price/wage support deal.

It will be interesting to see how Jonathan puts a deal together.

Hahahaha! Spain fires manager AFTER he accepts RM job.

What a disaster.

You couldn't make it up , could you .
Most of the time managers part company after the World Cup or major tournaments . Still it gives him time to settle in at Real Madrid , who as everyone in Spain knows , are more important than the national team at this quiet time in the football calendar .

he's an idiot for allowing announcement before World Cup. Even if they hadn't sacked him he'd have risked players feeling a bit mugged off, especially if they play for Barca

RM are used to doing whatever they want to whomever they want, including telling their own FA what is and isn't acceptable - but the new head of the Spanish FA is having none of it, and it was him that moved to deal with the situation.

He's a brave man, standing up to RM in Spain normally ends up very badly.
