Reading v Swans

After yesterday’s debacle, with Potters baffling formation and team selection, one wonders what he’s going to do next, very reminiscent of the Bob Bradley era.
We were 2 goals down at half time to a team that has the worst away record in the division. Over the last 10 away games they had 1 draw and 9 defeats, and 4 goals scored.
Anyway, moving on, we have another match to think about.
We play away at Reading on New Years Day.
Reading have won 3 of their last 10 home games, scoring 15 goals and conceding 15 goals.
Swans have won 3 of their last 10 away games, scoring 10 goals and conceding 12 goals.

Tomorrow will be Reading’s new Portuguese manager Jose Gomes’ first home game, after a defeat at Millwall and a draw at QPR, since being appointed.
Last but one in the table, 9 games without a win, they have an ex Swan playing for them, Gambian winger Mo Barrow, who will be out to prove a point against his old club.
They lost 2-0 to the Swans at the Liberty earlier in the season, with McBurnie scoring both goals. Barrow didn’t play that day he was out injured.

Fer and Roberts are likely to return tomorrow after being rested for the Wigan match. Carroll is still out injured and also Ollson who is already ruled out for the rest of the season.

Just got back.
What a difference a win makes! Not only a win but a resounding win.
First thing you notice at the Madejski Stadium is that its in the middle of an industrial park with no watering holes around it.
We tried the Holiday Inn, surprisingly it was away supporter friendly, but the beer was £6 a pint, no thanks, so concourse bar it was. Theakstons £4.60 and Amstel £5.00 in a plastic cup.
Seeing the teamsheet everybody amongst the 2k strong Jack Army was wondering where Bony was, rested or on a plane to Turkey?
Five changes again for this match, Naughton, Roberts, Rodon, Fer, and Dyer in a 5-4-2-1 formation. Ex-Swan Modou Barrow lined up for Reading.
Within two minutes we were ahead through a McBurnie header from a Naughton cross.
A Roberts tap in on 30 mins made it 0-2, and on 45mins VdH made it 0-3 from a Grimes free kick.
A penalty wit hin a few minutes of the restart after Routledge was brought down by previous Swans target, full back Yiadom, and McBurnie fired home to make it 0-4 on 48’.
The last 20 mins and we started sitting deep, inviting Reading to attack us.
The pressure paid off for them after a free kick into the area was hit home by sub Harriet on 77’.
Baker-Richardson replaced McBurnie on 73’, Fulton replaced Dyer on 85’, Carter-Vickers replaced Routledge on 88’.
