Rate the ref v Northampton Town

Well it's that time of year again folks, Saturday is football day and the football starts rolling at Northampton with Lee Swabey the official in the middle, hope we get as much debate as last season with varying views. Incidentally I will be in Scotland straight after the Swindon and back for Grimsby eve, so if anyone fancies doing the Port Vale cup match please feel free :throw:

Aye, thats him (according to Jules), do remember a pot of lard reffing us somewhere so you could be right, seem to remember it was Cardiff reserves, just before there big FA Cup match
 
I'll start the ball rolling, I thought he was below par, there was easily two foul throw-ins by there right back, he was letting it go around his chest. We had a shot late in the first half which ricocheted over the bar from there defenders hand, not only did he not give a penalty but he also gave a goal kick? On a side note Lee Freck has to stop picking up silly bookings.

I cant comment on the Ref James ,I was listening to the match commentary on Radio Lincs but in response to Freck and needless bookings .I think that is an occupational hazard for most Midfielders?
I shall of course give my usual totally biased vitriolic comments next week !

Freck has given quite a few free kicks outside the penalty area since he came back.
 
7, we’d see much worse. Wasn’t great and missed some bits but no game affecting errors. Brilliant 1-2 with Bossie in the lead up to our goal as far as I could see so picks up an extra mark!

He was yellowed for stopping them take a free-kick right in the bottom corner of the pitch I reckon.
 
7/10 He tried to let the game flow but the players wern't always up for it. The lady line has clearly got to this level via political correctness. Ref had to officiate despite her.
