So Saturday we take the long and winding road to Macclesfield where the man in the middle will be John Busby, he's been officiating mainly in League 1 & 2 for the last couple of seasons and can get a bit card happy.

I'm beginning to fear the worst here, it usually kicks off when we go to Macclesfield. Two penalties (from memory) during the Schoey era, Keith getting sent to the stand for not returning the ball to one of there players....this ref is keen with the cards.
 
Well I can only imagine he was in a very good mood today because he only yellowed as a last resort, two cynical fouls on Andrade and that was it. O Connor kicked a player to the ground and he gave the free kick and nothing else, several other irritating trips did not yield anything more than a free kick. On the whole he just about did ok, didn't affect the game very much so

Yeah 6 is right. Didn't make any howlers and you didn't really notice him despite his bright red top.

A little whistle happy though as he didn't allow any advantages, though that did work in our favour when Macc were in a really good attacking position when he brought it back for a free kick to them
 
Agree 6.5/10. Thought he got all the main things right and wasn't too fussy. The only thing he was fussy about was using his spray! Was so keen to get it on the right spot he was actually trying to spray the spot while Toffolo was lying prostrate on the ground injured! Bit bizarre.
 
7/10. Not too fussy or card happy, but could have let the game flow better at times. We will have a lot worse this season.

Poor use of advantage, over protective of keepers, player just had to go down to get a foul, both sides exploited that.

Nonetheless, no real howlers so an average mark.
 
6.5 for me. Thought he did alright. As already said, sometimes didn't play advantage when he could have. Thought maybe he could have booked a couple more, but that is just the inconsistency you generally see between different referees.
 
6 bang average. A little fussy, poor use of advantage, Macc 20 should have been booked ages earlier than he was. A few very soft free kicks. We’ll have worse though
 
Yeah Vincenti should have been booked for any one of three fouls in the first half, before he finally was in the second.

Other than that he was ok - 6.
