A point gained or two lost?

Back into the play-off places, and we still have a game in hand on every team outside the top seven. That game in hand is at Coventry, but they won't be looking forward to it with any particular relish either.

Wins over Colchester and Yeovil should be enough - that would leave Mansfield probably needing to win all three of their games to finish above us.

A difficult point gained for me, then. We are closer to the play-offs than we were before kick-off.

Was it a mistake to move Bostwick back to midfield, or did he really play as a third centre back? Did Rhead push Jacobson? Should Anderson start on Saturday? You tell us.

6.0 is the par score, use half-marks and give us your comments too.

Deadline: 5pm on Thursday.

Allsop - 7. Several cracking saves, but his kicking is still a bit iffy.
Eardley - 6. Not his usual standard.
Waterfall - 7. Won everything he needed to.
Wharton - 7. Ditto
Habergham - 6. Poor set-piece delivery. We really are wasting corners and free-kiscks.
Woodyard - 6. He and Bossie sometimes in the same space.
Bostwick - 6. see above.
Frecklington - 6. Missed a great chance.
Anderson - 6. Missed a chance and little final product.
Rhead - 7. Won everything and some deft touches.
Green - 6. worked hard, as ever.

Palmer - 6. Not the type of game for him.

Allsop 7.5: Some cracking saves but nearly undid his good work with a couple of iffy moments.
Eardley 7: Used all his experience to keep their attackers at bay.
Waterfall 8: So dominant tonight, won virtually every header and was a threat in their box,
Wharton 8: A rock like Waterfall.
Habergham 7: Steady and liked the way he linked up with Green down the left.
Woodyard 8: Terrier-like tonight. He was everywhere.
Bostwick 6: Despite making a couple of crucial tackles, I thought he was off it tonight and made too many uncharacteristic errors.
Frecklington 7: Provided impetus to the midfield and more like his old self.
Anderson 6: Showed glimpses of his old self but didn’t do enough for me and looked slow to react to situations unfolding around him at times.
Rhead 7.5: Won most things that came his way and showed some nice touches with his feet. Unlucky with disallowed goal too.
Green 6.5: Loads of tireless running again but playing in a front three nullifies his attacking threat.

Palmer 6: Did his best work on the halfway line and no opportunities on and around goal.

Allsop - 7 - Some reall good saves but weired distribution - wind?
Eardley - 6.5 - not his best game but still, he’s Neal Eardley
Waterfall - 7 - impressive but a couple of slight errors
Wharton - 7.5 - like having a left footer, especially one as athletic and solid as him
Habergham - 6 - pegged back by their 433
Woodyard- 6.5 - his usual hustle but unable to create much due to a stop start game
Bostwick - 8.5 - personally thought he was brilliant, charging from marking Beyo at the back to winning it in midfield
Frecklington - 6 - scored what should have been a goal but also unable to create much
Anderson - 6 - little opportunity for him to be released free down the flank. The days of him tearing through seem to have dried up recently.
Rhead - 8 - won everything and should have had an assist and penalty
Green - 6 - huff and puff but not much action

Palmer - 5 - why so deep? The wind again?

Allsop - 8, Several cracking saves, but his kicking is still a bit iffy.
Eardley - 6. Not his usual standard.
Waterfall - 7. Won everything he needed to.
Wharton - 7 Ditto
Habergham - 6. Poor set-piece delivery. We really are wasting corners and free-kiscks.
Woodyard - 6. He and Bossie sometimes in the same space.
Bostwick - 6. see above.
Frecklington - 6. Missed a great chance.
Anderson - 6. Missed a chance and little final product.
Rhead - 7. Won everything and some deft touches.
Green - 6. worked hard, as ever.

Palmer - 6. Not the type of game for him.

One slight change from Notty on Allsopp I thought the save he made from Wharton wa excellent, so upped his mark. But the rest are well given IMO

Watched today on iFollow.

Allsop: 7 Some very good saves, kicking not great at times. Great reaction save from dangerous Wycombe striker Scott Wharton.
Eardley: 7 Ran the game on the right side of the pitch as usual, but passing was below his own high standard.
Waterfall: 7 Did very well, and could have scored with a bit more composure.
Wharton: 7.5 Clearly a player with a great future. Uses his right foot without thinking about it, calm on the ball, and times the tackle well. We can only assume Blackburn have a couple of great centre backs for him to be out on loan.
Habergham: 7 Thought he had his best game in ages. Marked Mackail-Smith out of the game, although he is in his fifties.
Woodyard: 7 Ran the full width of the pitch from touchline to touchline.
Bostwick: 7 Impossible to play against, but I wish his defensive headers were directed better and had more power on them. Really played as a third centre back last night, rather than in midfield - a bit like a sweeper, but in front of the defence.
Frecklington: 6.5 Was far more involved than usual and looked much fitter than before. Scored a perfectly good goal, but missed a golden chance - half a mark lost for the miss.
Anderson: 6.5 Had a reasonable game but should have stayed on his feet rather than looking for the penalty that wasn't.
Rhead: 7 For those who think he won everything, I did some analysis while watching the game back. In the first half, Lincoln played 25 balls in the air towards him either from passes or throw-ins, and he won 14 of them; in the second half, he won 5 out of 7, making a total of 19 won from 32. Notably, Lincoln seemed to stop lofting it towards him in the second half - a subtle change of tactic, perhaps?
Green: 6 Carried no threat at all.

Palmer: 5 I'm afraid he had no impact this time.

Allsop - 7
Eardley - 5.5
Waterfall - 6
Wharton - 7
Habergham - 6
Woodyard - 6.5
Bostwick - 6.5
Frecklington - 6
Anderson - 6
Rhead - 6.5
Green - 6

Palmer - 6

Allsop - 7.0, some point blank and long range saves, poor kicking at times,
Eardley - 7.0, they were ready for his overlaps, great recovery from his stumble !
Habergham - 7.0, very solid good game, better corners at last
Wharton, 7.5, classy, does remind me of Raggett but is better on the ground, would be a great signing or season loan
Waterfall, 7.5, bit too rushed at times but great defending again
Bostwick 7.0, poor distribution at times but what a beast, in a nice way !
Woodyard - 7.0 composure on the ball, out of position occasionally in a frenetic midfield
Frecklington - 6.5, getting there, nice touches, was it him or Woodyard who blasted over, or both.
Anderson, 6.0, frustrating again, promises much delivers little, prefer Rowe when fit.
Rhead, 8.0, well deserved MOTM, well up for it, what was wrong with his 'goal'
Green, 6.5, ran miles, prefer him in a '2', but good display

Palmer - Whitehouse, each 5, not on long enough.

Allsop 7 - a few good reaction saves, but poor distribution. Playing with his feet, not a strong point
Eardley 7 - beaten a couple of times first half; solid second; passing a little off; put this down to the wind
Waterfall 8 - strong defensively; should have scored on his own back post
Wharton 8 - very strong in air and tackle; composed; and some great diagonal balls to Rhead
Habergham - 6 still under-performing
Woodyard 8 - MOTM covered the ground superbly; good on the ball; tried to get us playing a bit more on the deck
Bostwick 7 - did what he had to do very effectively; nothing passes him; needs to work on his passing
Frecklington 7 - improving all the time; should have scored with good runs into the box
Anderson 5 - poor control all night meant he couldn't get into the game; not a pen
Rhead 7 - best of our forward three; good lay offs for others all night; battled well
Green 6 - lost in 4-3-3

Palmer 6 - some great touches, but on the half way line

Allsop - 7 3 good saves and a clean sheet. Needs to improve kicking
Eardley - 6.5 had better games. Looks like Wycombe had done their homework
Habergham - decent game
Wharton- 7 good game need to sign him
Waterfall - 7 in command at the back. Good game
Bostwick - 7 played where he best used just between back 4 and midfield
Woodyard - 7 good as any other battling in the midfield
Frecklington - 6.5 better and should have scored
Anderson 6.0 not as effective as he has been. Prefer Rowe
Rhead - 7 Thought he'd scored. Won every 50-50 ball
Green - 6.5 looked threatening but no cigar

Palmer - 6 not on after the usual hour as Rhead was doing well.

Allsop - 7.5 - made two or three superb saves, including from Wharton. Without him we may have lost.
Eardley - 6.5 - solid enough but some of his crosses getting too near the keeper.
Waterfall - 7- solid as ever and won everything he had to.
Wharton - 8 - my MoM. Superb game, both defensively and in bringing the ball out of defense. Almost scored - at the wrong end so I'll dock himhalf a point for that ?
Bostwick - 7 - usual committed performance breaking up opposition play effectively.
Woodyard - 7 - as for Bossie.
Freclington - 7 - actually thought he got aboyt the pitch better, fitted into the team pattern better and had a couple of chances he could have done better with.
Anderson - 5.5 - disappointing I thought. Not beating his man like he was, not getting in dangerous positions or attacking the area. Could have had a penalty but clearly made far too much of it which I'm sure went against him. Has the lack of game time lost his edge or has he been sussed by opponents?
Rhead - 7 - some good knock-ons etc and a constant thorn in Wycombe's side. Had a couple of good chances to score. Don't know why his goal was disallowed.
Green - 6.5 - all action, as usual, but lacking the scoring edge again at the moment.

Palmer - 6 - closed the game out but didn't add much this time. Maybe not long enough?
