Smith 7 - Solid... looks a very good addition to the squad

Eardley 6 - Off his 17/18 form with some dodgy passing. Still solid and a dangerous option when putting crosses into the box
Bostwick 8 - fantastic display... read everything and kept distribution simple
Shackell 8 - looks a quality signing... so assured in everything he did today
Toffolo 7 - improving with every match

Frecklington 9 - even without his world class strike, a brilliant performance from the captain - his best since returning
O'Connor 8 - a dominant presence in midfield
Pett 8 - a real craftsman... amazing to see the difference in him compared to last season

Anderson 8 - always a threat and great to see him back on the scoresheet
Akinde 7 - another one improving with every game. Led the line very well and showed good touches
Andrade 9 - Freck edges him out for the MOM, but a brilliant display

Chapman 7 - kept things simple and composed and helped us maintain control in midfield

Smith 6 - tidy but not really demonstrated shot-stopping capabilities yet and should the free kick have beaten him?
Eardley 6.5- still not at his best, but worked well with Harry, and some good crosses.
Bostwick - 8 -back to best beast.
Shackell - 8 - best beast's sidekick, worked well together, totally dominant
Toffolo - 7 - good getting forward, not skinned by Boujewin as many feared and poss unlucky with the foul given for their goal.
Frecklington - 9- ran the game, capped by a 'worldie'
O'Connor - 8 steady holding the midfield
Pett - 8.5 - just behind the front 3, suppported them well and did his share of graft
Anderson- 8 - that's our Harry! Ran his FB ragged, gambled at the near post for his goal
Akinde - 8- strength and running, gave the CB's a collective 'mare, we're learning how to play to his strengths.
Andrade - 9 - MoM, just - the weaknesses in previous games disappearing and showing what a class player he'll be. Took his goal beautifully, laid on the 3rd with a class ball, could have had/created more with luck. Best No 11 on the field

Chapman 7- steady Ellis, maturity beyond his years.
Shout-outs for Green and Luque who both contributed in their cameos.

Smith 7 - Not much to do. Would need to see a replay of their free kick to see if he could have done better.

Eardley 7 - One nearly disastrous back pass that got caught in the long-ish grass, and crosses not quite as good as usual. Fine defensively though.
Bostwick 9 - Totally totally dominant after a sub standrad game on Tuesday
Shackell 9 - Just as dominant as Bossie. Great signing on the evidence so far.
Toffolo 7 - a decent display.

Frecklington 9 - excellent performance, his best since his return
O'Connor 8 -provides the creativity we need in midfield this season
Pett 8 - a fine display, full of skill

Anderson 7 - great near post run for the goal, which hopefully will give him confidence to do more with the ball and with his obvious pace
Akinde 7 - easily his best game so far, although he offered no goal threat
Andrade 9 - This guy will prove to be our best close season acquisition in my view. Takes the corners, can put a decent cross in (Anderson take note), good work rate, great speed, and will (and can) score goals too.

I'll have a bash for the first time on this thread

Smith - 6. Nothing to do so par. I looked back at their goal in slow mo just after they scored. I suppose he was as culpable as the rest of the defence who ignored the ball coming in but it should have been stopped way before hand.
Eardley - 6. Below his usual high standards and gave away a shocker that nearly led to a second county goal.
Bostwick - 7. Solid. You don't get past him
Shackell - 7. A good influence at the back. Him and Bostwick looked more comfortable together today
Toffolo - 7. Hungry to get up the line and showed good attacking intent
Frecklington - 8.5. Bossed the midfield. Excellent goal
O'Connor - 7. Solid if unspectacular display.
Pett - 7. Always looking to do something positive as in previous matches this season, however I'm not sure he was as effective in "the hole" position.
Anderson - 8. Looked very strong and run them ragged. I like the rough diamond about him. Polished, he will be fantastic. Great hunger and quality finish for his goal.
Akinde - 7.5. Best game for us yet without any clear cut scoring opportunity, which on paper sounds odd given that he hasn't scored and his previous penalty escapades.
Andrade - 9. Had them absolutely on toast. My MOTM

Chapman - 6.5. Glad to see him come on. A class move by DC after Tuesday. He did nothing wrong against Bury and was unfortunate that through no fault of his own he was sacrificed for the good of the team. He has a deft touch that will only improve with game time

Smith 6 - Little to do, comfortable on the ball
Eardley 6.5 - The odd stray pass, but not really tested defensively
Bostwick 7.5 - Dealt with Dennis and Hemmings well, albeit the latter spent most of his time offside
Shackell 7.5 - As above
Toffolo 6.5 - As Eardley
Frecklington 8 - Dominated midfield
O'Connor 7.5 - Kept things nice and simple, ticking things over
Pett 7.5 - Good link man between midfield and the front three
Anderson 7 - Seemed reluctant to have a run at his full back in the first half. Far better in the second half
Akinde 7.5 - Played the lone striker role well, brought others into play whilst also stretching the play
Andrade 8 - Goal, assist and an all round good game

Chapman 6.5 - Notts had given up by then but kept possession well and didn't waste a pass

Smith -7- Didn't have much to do but did ok when he had. The goal wasn't down to him.

Eardley - 6.5 - Not one of his better games and his understanding with Anderson was somewhat awry today. He was fouled before giving the ball away which led to them hitting the post two minutes after they equalised.
Bostwick - 7 - second game running he hasn't been up to his normal self but didn't do anything overly dangerous. Mostly bossed ('scuse the pun) their forward line.
Shackell - 7.5 - very solid. Best game so far I reckon.
Toffolo - 7 - another good game with lots of forward movement.

Frecklington - 8.5 - for me, his best game of the season to date. Took his goal brilliantly and just looked and played like a man ten years younger!
O'Connor - 8 - this guy is growing on me and I thought he had a very good game today. He and Freck will make an excellent pairing in midfield.
Pett - 8 - another very good performance from a player who is also progressing well with every game.
Anderson - 8 - His best game of the season to date for me, and what a brilliant execution for the goal, just seconds after he was brought down in the lead up, but he got up straight away and got into the position which saw him score a belter!

Akinde - 7.5 - his best game for City so far, even though he didn't score.
Andrade - 8 - wow! What a performance. Another who gets better with every game.

Chapman - 7 - composed.

This team is improving match by match and sometime soon, someone is going to be on the receiving end of an absolute tonking!

Smith 6 , not lots to do but looked a bit more confident than Tuesday
Eardley, 6, not one of his better games, lost concentration a bit, and crossing not as deadly
Bostwick 8, rarely out of position, dealt with everything which came his way
Shackell, 7.5 as above, covers his lack of pace with good positional sense
Toffolo, 6.5 better defensively today, good forward runs, linked up well with Andrede
Frecklington, 8.5, his best game since his return, great hit for his goal, experience showed
O'Connor 6,5, looked almost fit now, worked hard, did the simple stuff
Pett, 7.5, another all action performance, great pass to Akinde for the third goal build up
Anderson, 7, getting better, sometimes caught on his heels, well taken goal
Andrede, 9 good ball control and pace with it, made his goal look simple even though it wasn't, constant danger
Akinde, 8, best game by a long way, won more headers, good lay offs, his presence just causes havoc

Chapman, 6, kept it simple, wanted to go back rather than forward but it was that time in the game.

Smith 6.5 I don't think he could see the ball on the goal through a crowd of players.
Eardley 6.0 not back to his best yet.
Bostwick 8.5 the beast is back to his best won everything.
Shackell 8.0 won every header. Stayed calm and in control when on the ball.
Toffolo 7.0 great going forwards
Frecklington 9.0 now obviously back to full fitness . loved the way he comes to pick the ball up of the back four . Great appointment as captain
O'Connor 7.5 always calm and unflustered on the ball . very rarely gave it away.
Pett 8.0 those of us who wondered why Danny signed him last season now know why
Anderson 7.5 poor fist half excellent second half.
Akinde 7.0 best game so far.
Andrade 8.5 what a signing so fast at times he scares the opposition.
Chapman 7.0 stayed calm did nothing flash kept it simple .
Green 6.0 no time to make a real impact.
Luque can't score him game over virtually when he came on.

Smith 6.5 steady
Eardley 6.5 better second half than first
Toffolo 7 decent performance from our young left back
Bostwick 7.5 rock steady from the beast
Shackell 7.5 same from the new beast
Pett 7.5 quality player this guy
O'Connor 7.5 as above
Frecklington 8.5 captain fantastic and that goal, wow what a hit!
Anderson 7.5 more like the Harry of last season lovely finish to the move of the game
Akinde 7.5 really looked like he enjoyed yesterday and we played much more to his strengths.
Andrade 9 my motm absolute quality never gave whoever was his fullback any rest. Going to be one hell of player for us this season.
Chapman 6.5 kept it simple and linked it up well

Andrade 9.5 same as everyone else has said, a revelation compared to previous players attempting to play that role (Ginnelly, Rowe, JMD)
Freck 8 cracking goal and good all round game
Shackle and Bozzie 8 solid defensive work
Smith 6.5 thought he could have done better with their goal.
Eardley 6 some misplaced passes
Chapman 6 keeps it simple but not quite at the level of the rest of the team yet which is to be expected
All others 7.5

Smith 7- Don't think he can shoulder any blame for the goal. With the amount of bodies between him and the ball, I guess he didn't see it till it was in the net. Some good distribution.

Eardley 6.5- A poor first half, by his standards, including a horrendous backpass and lackadaisical control. Second half much improved and better crosses than Tuesday

Bostwick 8 - Back on it with a bang. Commanding, imperious and bloody-minded. Distribution could be better.

Shackell 8.5 - Showed his class and commanded the area superbly. Slightly out points Bostwick with his superior control over passing with head and foot.

Toffolo 7.5 - Much improved, barring one early scuffed cross. Snuffed out the threat from a disappointing Boldewijn.

Anderson 8 - Had a couple of misunderstandings with Eardley in the first half, but ran his legs off and scored a splendid goal at the near post from an impressive Andrade cross. Made a couple of very good crosses himself too. Getting his form back.

Pett 7. 5- Continues to impress and clearly enjoys his new role, but not just as pivotal as recently, barring his measured ball down the channel to Big John in the build up to the third.

O'Connor 7.5 - Composed and professional. Teed up Andrade as part of the build up to the third goal, despite being fouled.

Frecklington 8.5 - What a goal! Been waiting for that since he returned. Combative, energetic, incisive, inspired.

Akinde 9 - Now that's more like it. Was instrumental in the second and third goals and always looked threatening. Made several barnstorming runs in support of Harry and Bruno. More composed on the ball, some nice lay offs with his back to goal, with his head and feet in attack and in defence. Once we start giving it more to his feet watch him go!

Andrade 8.5 - Fabulous performance. Terrorised the County defence. Took his goal with great technique and set up Harry with the near-post cross for the third.

Chapman 7- Looks comfortable on the ball. Can see him being a very useful creative midfielder.

...and lackadaisical control.

Thank you for getting this right. Now you just need to tell Steve Thompson.

Back to the thread. Remember the early deadline if you haven't rated the players yet - 5pm today.

Smith 6 - Quiet game. Not at fault for the goal as entire defence appeared asleep
Eardley 5.5 - Feels harsh but he’s not at the races. Sloppy at times and a poor back pass intercepted almost led to County scoring. Hit the post.
Bostwick - 7 Good game
Shackell - 7 As per Bostwick
Toffolo - 6 Decent game but sloppy foul led to County’s goal
Frecklington - 8 Very good and topped off with a great goal
O'Connor - 7
Pett - 7
Anderson - 7.5 High energy ran County ragged. Decent goal
Akinde - 7 Much better from him. For the first time this season looked a dangerous striker in open play
Andrade - 8.5 Wow what a game. Classy goal and set up our third. MOTM

Chapman - 6
