Some very good performances against a truly dreadful side. Our first hat-trick for over four years, Brennan reaches double figures for the season, Rogers has a hand in all four goals and Bramall has a stormer ending... sadly without his first goal for City. The rest? You tell us.

Have fun!

Palmer 6 Not much to do and some of his kicking was dreadful. Still being affected by that Accrington cock-up?

Poole 6.5 Did absolutely fine and an excellent piece of defending late on the keep the clean sheet
Jackson 6.5 Very solid
Walsh 7 Calmness personified. We look like a team who remembers how to defend when he plays
Bramall 7 Impressive second half capped by that might yet get awarded his goal free kick

Edun 8 Fabulous performance save the occasional wayward pass
McGrandles 7.5 Just gets on with his game. Our Mr Reliable in the middle of the pitch
Johnson 9 Did three things all match and walked off with the match ball.

Scully 6 Huffed and puffed and worked hard without really affecting the result
Morton 6 Very similar to Scully. Plenty of running without it really paying off
Rogers 8 Sublime pass for the first goal. Second half caused them so many problems

Eyoma 6 Slotted in and got the job done
Anderson 6 Worked hard but was rushing some of his passing.

Palmer 5-no real 'goalkeeping' because of powder puff oppostion, but Warren Gatland is considering him for the Lions tour as he always found touch tonight.
Poole 7- early yellow might have been a defensive inhibition, but good work getting forward and best chance of first half.
Jackson 6.5- steady and dependable.
Walsh 7 - our key player. Manage his fitness, keep him on the pitch, the defence is so much more reliable and he provides a platform for progress further up the field.
Bramall 7.5 - some great work getting forward, terrific free kick which hopefully he's credited with. Still suspect defensively and that's what his preseason will hopefully concentrate on.
Edun 8 - initiated the best move of a turgid first half, contributed hugely to the increase in tempo which won the match in the second. Dropped comfortably back to left back to see the game out.
McGrandles 8- striving manfully to cover the absence of Grant and Bridcutt, he's been terrific since coming back from injury and took responsibility tonight.
Johnson 8.5- poor, petulant first half which he was lucky to see through, then 2 good goals, and a calm twice-scored penalty. Match winner, man of the match.
Rogers 8 - showed again his pedigree and game changing potential. Can be frustrating, can be sensational. Bramall-weighted pass to Poole a comedy highlight second only to MK's defence.
Scully 7 - generous mark because he had a better second half. Highlighted again why he's a talented, committed work in progress, needs to improve the decision making to build on the ability.
Morton 7.5 - divisive performance, I suspect. Two successive 90 minutes is a monumental achievement by a young player returning from injury and illness. Hopper wouldn't have given their keeper the time he had in the first half, but Morton worked his nuts off and was an integral part of the improved second half.

Eyoma 6 - steady but the game was won, helped deliver the clean sheet.
Anderson 7- his application is faultless, a couple of moments he could have done better with.

Palmer 6: Had barely anything to do, but still looked a little shaky and another jittery moment when he gave the ball away by messing around at the back.
Poole 6.5: Early booking seemed a tad harsh and almost put us a goal up just before the break. Defended well and settling in nicely now.
Jackson 7: Solid and dependable and had Grigg's number all game.
Walsh 7: Similar to Jackson, great to see him back in the starting XI.
Bramall 8: Best game for the Imps. Terrific free-kick and some great bursts forward, although while the end product was a bit hit and miss at times, you couldn't fault his work ethic and eagerness. And what pace, incredible.
Edun 8: Looks such a quality player, with a super left foot. Got himself out of a few tight spots several times and is such a clever player. Also showed how much he cared by having a right go at Morton just before the break. Several words were exchanged between the two.
McGrandles 8: What a grafter he is and won several tackles in the midfield. Possibly thought he had something to prove against his old side and proved it.
Johnson 8.5: Terrific hat-trick, with sublime finishes. Worked brilliantly with Rogers tonight.
Rogers 9: Thought he was outstanding and had a hand in all four goals. Not only was he hugely menacing going forward, he was also quick to get back and defend, putting in several tackles. Would love to see him back next season.
Scully 6.5: The first half showed why he is not a regular starter as he was all over the place and just couldn't get near the ball, but improved after the break, especially when Anderson came on when he was switched more centrally.
Morton 5.5: Considering we attacked at will at times in the second half, Morton just looked off it most of the night. Barely won a header or held the ball up, nothing seemed to go right for him and ended up arguing with team-mates, never a good sign.

Eyoma 6.5: Did nothing wrong
Anderson 6.5: Some great bursts going forward and got back well to defend.

I’m so glad I don’t support MKD - think I’d rip up my season ticket and take up fishing or stamp-collecting to give me something to get my pulse racing occasionally. Just glad that the ref didn’t knee-jerk and send Brennan off as he clearly made the difference in terms of finishing. First half was mega-frustrating but second much better.

Palmer - 6.5 - didn’t have anything really difficult to do but dominated well when he had to. Kicking is shocking at the moment - lost count of the number of times he put the ball in the stands, and one where he almost lost possession.
Poole - 6.5 - shows promise but still hasn’t settled properly (Be interesting to see him after pre-season). Wonder if he needs Harry in front of him to build an effective relationship, both attacking and defending 🤔
Jackson - 7- solid and reliable and plays well alongside Walsh.
Walsh - 7.5 - as Notty says - a Rolls Royce of a player. Reads the game so well and positions himself superbly for the team structure and style of play
Bramall - 7 - his pace is truly electrifying and if he could only finish off some of his runs with the final ball. MKD clearly saw him as a threat as they clobbered him time and again. Still think the goal should be his 👏
Edun - 8.5 - my MoM for his sheer hard work and quality. Lost count of the number of times he came out of tussles with two or three Dons players with one little shimmy or turn and burst away with the ball 👏
McGrandles - 8 - was everywhere, hardly put a foot wrong and played some beautiful passes at times, plus a couple of vital defensive interceptions/headers.
Johnson - 8 - superb hat-trick and clearly knows how to get himself into position to score goals, and more importantly how to finish them. Normally would be MoM but I wish he would be a bit more self-disciplined.
Rogers - 7.5 - came alive more in the second half with some beautiful passes, especially the reverse pass for BJs first goal. The defensive elements of his game are improving I noticed as well.
Scully - 6.5 - scuttles about like a terrier but didn’t really have the full effect last night. Too isolated out wide? Final ball let him down occasionally as well.
Morton - 6.5 - like Scully, didn’t really have the desired effect last night. There was one moment when the two CBs were only a few yards apart knocking the ball between them and he just stood off them. Just not clicking for him at the moment.
Eyoma - 7 - slotted in seamlessly after he came on and looked comfortable.
Anderson - 6.5 - did OK but lacking that half a yard of burst. Would love to see him have a few games with Poole as I think there’s a decent partnership in there 🤔

Palmer 6 - Kicking is an issue, as others have said.
Poole 6.5 - Did fine. Nearly scored.
Jackson 7.5 - Dominant.
Walsh 7.5 - Dominant.
Bramall 8.5 - Superb tonight. Only flaw was his crossing.
Edun 9 - Such a different player to his early games for us. He must be in the top 10% of L1 players.
McGrandles 8.5 - Calm, assured and plays the right ball 9 times out of 10.
Johnson 8.5 - Second half performance was a ten, but a poor pass at the end of the first half could have cost us an opener and nearly sent off. Great response.
Rogers 8.5 - Great pressing and involvement in the goals.
Scully 5.5 - Anonymous. Could have scored from a great Edun cross but terrible first touch. A shame because I really like him but needs to perform better.
Morton 7 - Good pressing throughout. Never looked like being the one to score.

Palmer 6.5. Dominant but his kicking has gone awry.
Poole. 6.5. Played well against a decent winger. Almost scored and showed good composure.
Jackson. 7. Comfortable and showed his experience.
Walsh. 7.5. Makes a big , big difference. Keep him fit imps.
Bramall. 7.5. High energy. Final ball needs work. It should he his goal, surely.
Mcgrandles. 8. Just keeps the ball. The best player of the last 2/3 months.
Edun. 8. As I said on Saturday you don't know what you are going to get. But when it's good it's very good. Could be a top player with more consistency.
Rogers. 8. Worked harder than recently and had a hand in all 4 goals. Could not ask for more.
Morton. 6. Worked hard for the team but struggled to make a real impact.
Scully. 6. Harried effectively in the second half. Anonymous in the first.
Johnson. 8. A poor first half but scintillating twenty minutes. Alongside Rogers, there is real class in these two gems. We are lucky to have them. Enjoy them over the next few games.
Anderson. 6.5. Worked hard, but seems to have temporarily lost a bit of pace.
Eyoma. 7. Did well and slotted in seamlessly.

Palmer: 5.5 Had almost nothing to do except kick the ball, and he didn't do that consistently. One heart in mouth moment.
Poole: 6.5 Did well after such an early booking. Had little to do in the second half, other than support the attack.
Jackson: 7 Gave nothing away, although under no pressure from a feeble attack.
Walsh: 7 Ditto. So pleased to have him back, our best CH.
Bramall: 7.5 By far his best game for us, starting to acclimatise to League One. Deserved the goal, unfortunately won't get it.
Edun: 8 Delighted to see him given a run in his correct position at last, we are now seeing the emergence of a midfield star in the making.
McGrandles: 8 Played the Bridcutt role perfectly, formed a great triangle with Jackson and Walsh and gave MK no way through.
Johnson: 8 Excellent couple of finishes, cool head for the penalties. Please cut out the unnecessary yellows, they can cost you a red.
Rogers: 8 Would say 6 for the first half and 10 for the second: unstoppable for thirty minutes, had a hand in all four goals. Going to be a fabulous player, can we have him next year please, Mr Guardiola?
Scully: 6 Quiet game, but he was part of a forward line that created four goals.
Morton: 6 Having to play the Hopper role to which he isn't suited. Trying very hard to make something happen.

Eyoma: 6.5 Just a good defender, would like him permanently.
Anderson: 6.5 Some good runs again, although end product missing.
