A debut goal for Jamie Soule, debuts for Ethan Ross and Hayden Cann, players out of position but hardly troubled, a first goal for Theo Archibald, and another stroll in the park for the Imps. Eight wins from nine games, twenty-two goals scored, through to the second round of the MMT with a game to spare, top of the league, and a disappointed Lady P (again) in her Portuguese bolthole. All a bit unbelievable, isn't it? The only thing we haven't definitely got is pixies at the bottom of the garden, although they would be wearing red and white if we had.

Different team, same style, same fundamentals in place. No dead woodin this squad, all on message although Lady P's millions fielded dross at Field Mill.
Ross - 7- Tidy, one excellent full-stretch save, let down by defence for goal and noticeably punched out the next corner
Anderson - 6.5 - proved again he's not a full back but worked hard, great getting forward
Eyoma - 7.5 - superb all season as full back, superb tonight as a CB. We'll deliver a class act back to Spurs.
Roughan - 7.5 - as above, we'll deliver a £1m+ defender to Championship or Premiership. Insanely composed for his age.
Edun - 7.5 - Tayo at LB is a bit of an adventure where even he doesn't always know what will happen next. Talented and determined, added strength to his game and a mean ippon.
McGrandles - 8 - set the tempo, when he flagged we flagged, but breaking up play and setting things rolling gave us control for most of the match.
Archibald - 7.5 - fast and tricky, his 'show and go' trick effective, nicely exploited defensive confusion for his first goal
Howarth - 7.5 - Pacy, determined, improving, can be pleased with his night.
Grant - 8 - so much more a complete player and play-maker than the Jorge DC signed, ran the game alongside McGrandles.
Soule - 6.5 - inevitably a hard baptism, stood up well and bagged a goal. A few weeks and we'll see a different player.
Scully -7.5 - nicely taken goal moments after missing an easier chance, he's a terrier of a player and highly effective.

I have my suspicions that there are pixies at the bottom of my garden...

Ross - 7 Looked good
Anderson - 6.5 No quite the opportunity for Harry playing a bit further back tonight
Eyoma 8 I'd be surprised if this isn't a premiership player in the making
Roughan 7.5 Looked more comfortable in this position
Edun 7 Steady game again
McGrandless 8 Thought he was terrific tonight with and without the ball
Archibald 7 Looked good in the first half
Howarth 7 Thought he got stronger as the season went on
Grant 8 Another top performance
Soule 7 Tired towards the end, but a decent debut considering all the activity today
Scully 7.5 Livewire battles for everything

Ross. 6.5. 85 minutes with his pipe and slippers and 5 minutes of semi pressure with one quality save.
Anderson 7. Linked well with Scully. Good for him to play the odd game at fullback to improve his overall game.
Eyoma 6.5. Consistently dominant against a powder puff CF.
Rougham 6.5. Ditto
Eden. 7. Stylish going forward and solid defending. Great incisive pass for them Scully goal.
McGrandles. 6.5. I noticed his unseen work!
Grant. 8.5 Dominated the play in his best most influential position. Hard to believe Grants improvement under Appleton. From a show pony to a midfield general.
Howarth. 6.5. Energetic game and linked play up well.
Scully. 8. Quality touch and finish for his goal and 2 great long diagonal passes to switch play leading to both the other 2 goals. Has the quality and the work rate and linked up well with Anderson.
Soule. 6. Pretty anonymous until his goal but showed some good touches in the 2nd half. Decent debut.
Archibald. 7. very good first half and was involved in some neat moves and has a trick or 2 to outwit his marker. Looked noticeably tired in the last 20 minutes but to be expected.
