So that is the end of the unbeaten run and the scoring run and the chance to equal the 4 defeats all season and the chance to win the title on the day. Thanks Mr Mason, never have so many good things been ruined in one fell swoop by one arrogant prat.

6.0 is the par score, use half-marks and give us your comments too.

Deadline is 5pm on Sunday due to the Tranmere game.

Gilks
Eardley
Bostwick
Shackell
Toffolo

McCartan
Akinde

Bolger

Gilks: 6.5 Didn't have much to do despite the circumstances, other than catch poor crosses. One good save in the first half from the free kick. Could he have stopped the shot? I was surprised to see it go in, but will watch it back on the highlights.
Eardley: 7.5 Was completely exposed time and time again but defended very well and gave no quarter.
Bostwick: 7.5 A rock in the middle as ever. The victim of an horrendous challenge in the box that only drew a yellow from Mr Mason.
Shackell: 4 Harsh sending-off, but a player of his experience should know better. Could be in trouble for pushing an official - Mr Mason made a note of it in his little black book. If he is charged by the FA, we could have seen the last of him.
Toffolo: 6.5 Par performance but an extra half-mark for the circumstances.
O'Hara: 8 Was involved in everything in midfield, fast becoming the first name on the team sheet.
Pett: 7 Some clever touches but was the victim of harsh treatment from Carlisle and consequently Mr Mason.
Anderson: 7 Ditto Pett. Kicked up in the air by Carlisle on more than one occasion with relative impunity. Some good runs despite having three or four players around him.
Andrade: 5 Clearly not fit, completely lacking the pace to beat anyone.
McCartan: 6 Didn't have much time in which to contribute.
Akinde: 6 Was completely isolated upfield after McCartan was sacrificed and had a thankless task. I think he should have scored in the first five minutes, a free header with the keeper in no man's land. Two separate Carlisle fans commented on his strength after the game.

Bolger: 6.5 Performance could have been affected by the idiotic yellow given by our friend Mr Mason. He should have booked his fourth official instead for being incompetent.
Rowe: 6.5 A couple of good runs and perhaps should have scored with the volley.

Gilks 6 - could he have done better for the goal? Did come through people though
Eardley 6.5 - I thought he got into good positions without delivering much telling. Plus 0.5 for his 100m sprint back on their break at the end
Bostwick 6 - slightly rash but body on the line as usual
Shackell 3 - just write today off. Brain not engaged but a rare day like that to be fair
Toffolo - 5.5 didn't notice him so much today?
O'Hara 7 - lax in possession a few times but he is a presence every week.
Pett 7.5 - as at mk Dons, he seems immensely visible in that role and works extremely hard. Uses the ball better than O'Hara, they are a good pair and complement each other well
Anderson 8 - I gave him motm just because if anything happened it would have been through him. Throwing himself into headers and all sorts
Andrade 5.5 - games like this really don't suit him. He doesn't get in the game the same way as Harry
McCartan 6- not really his fault he was sacrificed so bang on average
Akinde 6.5 - thought he was doing well to start with but found himself increasingly isolated. Some groans when his knock downs weren't to anyone, but no one was near him so pretty thankless as a task

Bolger 6.5 - did ok apart from running on like a gazelle! Less rash than Bozzie and shackell today
Rowe 6.5 more effective than andrade but not as prominent as Harry even with fresh legs

Gilks - 7 A decent save and safe fielding of all the shots except 1 one that beat him
Eardley - 7.5 Monster work load
Bostwick - 8 - smashed their forward with the fair tackle and put his head on a goal bound rocket amongst other good defensive duties
Shackell - 5.5
Toffolo - 6
O'Hara - 6 got better as the game went on after shaky first half
Pett - 7 always looking to mix it up in a creative or play making sense
Anderson - 7 worked really hard, just needs a bit more quality in final third
Andrade - 6 Couldn't get going
McCartan - 6 did nothing wrong before having to be sacrificed
Akinde - 7.5 worked his cottons off

Bolger 6.5 - stood firm
Rowe 6.5 - unfortunately not able to turn the game under difficult circumstances

Listened live and just watched full replay.

Gilks 5.5 - decent save in the first half but should have easily saved the goal. Was also routed to his central position when Carlisle hit the left post.
Eardley 6 - plenty of effort getting around the pitch but with little effect
Bostwick 6 - solid performance
Shackell 3 - I was initially furious at the sending off taking Thommo’s opinion. Having watched it the ref was spot on with 2 yellows
Toffolo 6 - didn’t really notice him
O'Hara 6.5 - Decent game only marked down for carelessly giving away possession
Pett 7 - good game driving us forward
Anderson 7.5 - my MOTM. Worked tirelessly down the right and running through endless tackles
Andrade 5.5 - didn’t really get going. Is he fully fit ?
McCartan 6 - substituted before he had really got going
Akinde 7 - had to work extra hard as the sole striker

Bolger 6 - silly error from a pro and correctly got a yellow. Apart from that par game
Rowe 6.5 - an improvement over Andrade

Gilks 7 - Might had done better with their goal but made two very good saves and his handling was competent
Eardley 6 - Was exposed a lot but made an a crucial challenge at the end when two Carlisle players caught us on at the end and he sprinted back to stop us going 2 down
Bostwick 7 - Played very well as always and put himself on the line
Shackell 5 - I think he is going to be disappointed looking back at the fouls
Toffolo 5.5 - Didn't make such an impact but that was probably due to the circumstances
O'Hara 7 - Was involved in most of out attacking play although gave the ball away once or twice
Pett 7 - Tried to make his mark and did well when we had possession
Anderson 7 - Made an impact more during the second half, had one shot tipped over but was trying too hard at times. Was flattened at the end and was receiving treatment on the pitch by the physio three minutes after the game ended.
Andrade 5.5 - One decent run in the first half but was not clearly 100% and was subbed
McCartan 5 - Didn't make much of an impact and was sacrificed after Shackell was sent off
Akinde 7 - Was at the forefront of our attacks and apart from one blocked effort won a lot of the ball but had little support

Bolger 6 - The booking might have been avoided when he came on but did okay
Rowe 6.5 - Had our only shot on target just after they scored

Gilks - 6.5
Eardley - 6.5

Gilks 7.5 sadly beaten by that shot but stunning otherwise
Eardley 7
Bostwick 7.5
Shackell 4
Toffolo 6.5
O'Hara 7.5
Pett 7
Anderson 8.5 excellent despite repeated fouling in him and a full blown assault at the end (worst tackle of match by a mile yet no red for that)
Andrade 6
McCartan 5
Akinde 7.5

Bolger 6
Rowe 7 nearly equalised
