Gilks: 6.5 Didn't have much to do despite the circumstances, other than catch poor crosses. One good save in the first half from the free kick. Could he have stopped the shot? I was surprised to see it go in, but will watch it back on the highlights.
Eardley: 7.5 Was completely exposed time and time again but defended very well and gave no quarter.
Bostwick: 7.5 A rock in the middle as ever. The victim of an horrendous challenge in the box that only drew a yellow from Mr Mason.
Shackell: 4 Harsh sending-off, but a player of his experience should know better. Could be in trouble for pushing an official - Mr Mason made a note of it in his little black book. If he is charged by the FA, we could have seen the last of him.
Toffolo: 6.5 Par performance but an extra half-mark for the circumstances.
O'Hara: 8 Was involved in everything in midfield, fast becoming the first name on the team sheet.
Pett: 7 Some clever touches but was the victim of harsh treatment from Carlisle and consequently Mr Mason.
Anderson: 7 Ditto Pett. Kicked up in the air by Carlisle on more than one occasion with relative impunity. Some good runs despite having three or four players around him.
Andrade: 5 Clearly not fit, completely lacking the pace to beat anyone.
McCartan: 6 Didn't have much time in which to contribute.
Akinde: 6 Was completely isolated upfield after McCartan was sacrificed and had a thankless task. I think he should have scored in the first five minutes, a free header with the keeper in no man's land. Two separate Carlisle fans commented on his strength after the game.
Bolger: 6.5 Performance could have been affected by the idiotic yellow given by our friend Mr Mason. He should have booked his fourth official instead for being incompetent.
Rowe: 6.5 A couple of good runs and perhaps should have scored with the volley.
