Three points is three points; none is none. We have now won seven of our last nine league games - 21 points from a possible 27 - which is not to be sneezed at, even if you have an autumn cold. The lead is extended over second place, fourth and eighth. Not a bad day.

But how did we play? Who were the match winners? Is this squad rotation thing really necessary? Should Green be given a run in the side? We have still not conceded more than one goal in any match, so are we too dependent on that defence? Over to you.

6.0 is the par score, use half-marks and give us your comments too.

Another tight deadline due to the Scumthorpe game - 5pm on Monday.

Vickers - 7.0, made some very good saves towards the end when the pressure came on, one especially from a fierce drive.
Eardley - 6.5, covered and got forward well, had his hands full with their number 20, young lad who was very useful.
Bostwick - 6.0, a few wayward passes but got distance on his clearances.
Shackell - 6.5, calm under pressure, interesting how he makes space and gets out of trouble
Toffolo - 6.0, not his best but good runs forward, not helped by an Andrade off day.
Frecklington - 6.0 , nothing came off for him today including the pen, his booking was very similar to his sending off, but got more of the ball this time !
O'Connor - 7.5, best display for me, harried, got forward well.
McCarten - 6.5, plenty of energy, final pass missing today
Anderson - 4.5, oh dear , covered well, but virtually no forward runs, one to forget
Andrade - 5.5, kept going but poor passing let him down, did not link up well with Toff today.
Akinde - 7.0, not until he went off that you realise what he does for the team, set up another goal, well deserved applause when he was subbed.
Pett - 6.5, immediate impact ! needed his energy.
Green / Rhead not on long enough to mark.

Vickers 7 - a dodgy punch towards the end and a couple of wonky kicks, but otherwise strong and steady. Good keeper.

Eardley 7 - still not hitting the heights of last season but solid in defence and decent in possession
Bostwick 7 - did fine
Shackell 8 - looked a class act, as always
Toffolo 7 - solid at the back and decent going forward

Frecklington 6 - very poor penalty and didn’t really get into the game until Pett came on
O'Connor 7 - a decent showing
McCartan 6 - always willing and like him as a player... don’t think he’s the answer as a partner for Akinde though
Anderson 4 - game completely passed him by sadly
Andrade 7 - struggled to get into the game but always a serious threat to the opposition
Akinde 6 - looked a shade off the pace at Tranmere, and a further shade seemed missing today. Probably the worst I’ve seen him play this season. Shame he wasn’t still on for the pen.

Pett 8 - made the difference when he came on, a clever and quality footballer
Green 7 - lively... would love to see what him and Akinde could do together up front

Vickers 7 - Little to do but he has a calm presence, which helps the defence
Eardley 7 - Quiet game but did ok
Bostwick 6.5 - Couple of poor touches nearly put us in trouble
Shackell 7.5 - Rarely does anything wrong
Toffolo 7 - As Eardley
Frecklington 6.5 - Struggled at times, outnumbered for large parts in CM
O'Connor 6.5 - As Freck
McCartan 6 - Against possession based sides, he needs to do more
Anderson 4 - Not sure what's happening to him, but well off the pace. Doesn't even run at full backs anymore. Time for a change
Andrade 6.5 - One of his quieter games but still involved in our best play
Akinde 6 - Little of any note, but didn't really get the service either

Pett - 6.5 - Added another body and energy into CM
Green 6.5 - Threatened in behind, which was needed

All in all, a bit of a 'meh' performance. I'd say only Anderson had an absolute mare.

Vickers 7 - Takes the pressure off defenders, good positioning and distribution.
Eardley 6.5 - Interceptions and defensive work ok but crossing not up to his old standard
Bostwick 6.5 - Hard as nails when tacking but plenty of lofted aimless balls
Shackell 7 - Held it together, some frank discussion with Toffolo, mostly in control
Toffolo 7 - Worked hard to get forward, covers when needed
Frecklington 6 - Par performance only, in and out of the game, poor penalty
O'Connor 7 - Grafted, even when the team was not doing well
McCartan 6.5 - Strong, wiling to take others on and drive forward
Anderson 5.5 - Not a lot came off for Harry today.
Andrade 6.5 - Crowded out for parts of the game, always a threat with the ball
Akinde 6 - Has lost some of the purpose and belief he had earlier, found myself willing him to do well but really it was only a par performance

Pett 7.5 - The whole dynamic changed when he came on. Quick thinking, hungry, decisive, he changed the game. MOM
Green - 6.5 Suited him coming into a side playing at a higher tempo, great run when he almost scored
Rhead 6 - Did nothing wrong, won headers, saw the game out

Vickers 6.5 - 1 good save and secure handling
Eardley 7 - Worked really hard and read the game very well
Bostwick 6.5 - steady Eddie
Shackell 7 - Usual dominance, covering and marshalling
Toffolo 6.5 - Competed physically better - against Bowery he had to
Frecklington 6.5 - Covered a lot of ground, outnumbered in midfield
O'Connor 7 - Our best midfield work came through him
McCartan 6.5 - Worked hard to find space and tried to get things going
Anderson 6 - struggled to get into the game
Andrade 6.5 - ditto Anderson but benefitted from formation change
Akinde 7 - Was the only effective forward player first half and needed people to support him when he was winning the ball and holding it up

Pett 7 - Instant energy and impact. Shored up midfield
Green 6.5 - Looked lively and hungry; what was needed with Crewe chasing the game
