Gilks: 6 Can only be the par score, had bugger all to do until they scored.
Eardley: 5 Terrible passing/crossing and an error that would have cost us a goal were it not for a great defensive tackle by...Tom Pett.
Bostwick: 7 Usual Bostwick on his 100th appearance.
Shackell: 7.5 MOM again. One excellent clearance over his own bar.
Toffolo: 6.5 Tough second half after Bruno went off - was exposed thereafter, allowing Cheltenham onto him.
O'Hara: 7 Tried very hard to get City moving but to no avail.
Pett: 6.5 A few nice touches, and that tackle at the back was tremendous.
Anderson: 6.5 Good first half but faded in the second.
Andrade: 5 Off the pace, clearly not fit. Can see him sitting out the rest of the season once the title is in the bag.
McCartan: 7 Our best striker, did he really dive in that position? Taken off before he was sent off.
Akinde: 5 Not his day. Ball bounced off him too often and a couple of disappointing shots.

Rowe: 6 Would have done better to cross instead of shooting.
Frecklington: 4 Can't remember him touching the ball.
 
Gilkes 6.5 - I think, arguably, a more agile/younger 'keeper would have saved the headed goal. Otherwise he did well.
Eardley 6.5 - A few dodgy moments.
Bostwick 7.5 - Missed virtually nothing.
Shackell 7.5 - We need him next season.
Toffolo 5.5 - Defensively slightly worrying.
O'Hara 7.5 - Solid and dependable.
Pett 7 - Decent game.
Anderson 5 - Ran into trouble on numerous occasions.
Andrade 5 - Didn't look fit but saw too little of the ball.
McCartan 6.5 - Great strike for his goal. Faded a little.
Akinde 4

Rowe 6 - Great play at times but made a couple of wrong choices.
Frecklington 6 - Busy few moments.
 
Gilks 7.5 commanding when needed

O'Hara 9 did all he had to do but added lots of extra moments of skill, agility and sheer determination
Pett 7.5
Anderson 7 one lovely ball over defender's head in 2nd half to launch himself on a run
Andrade 6 not with it, clearly injured as it turned out
McCartan 8 has spells of anonymity and then, as at Swindon, you get another moment of brilliance
Akinde 7 lot of work, might have got something at times

Rowe 7 some good moments
Frecklington 6.5 useful and did as required
Rhead 7 willing him on to his 50th, it nearly came a couple of times. Hope more chances by season's end!
 
Gilks 7 - Handling was very good, he might be a bit disappointed with their goal though
Eardley 5.5 - Was exposed at times and forward play not up to scratch
Bostwick 7.5 - Defensively solid, positional play and ariel skills as good as ever
Shackell 7 - Reliable although lost their sub who had a free header for the goal
Toffolo 6 - Less effective once Andrade went off and like Eardley was exposed a few times
O'Hara 7 - Broke up a lot of the Cheltenham attacks, always looked comfortable on the ball
Pett 7 - Stopped a dangerous Cheltenham attack and was responsible for most of our attacking play
Anderson 6 - Promising first half, had a lot less service second half
Andrade 5 - Really struggled at times, was subbed due to an injury which affected his play
McCartan 6.5 - Really good goal but ran out of steam and ideas during the second half
Akinde 6 - It just didn't roll for him yesterday, a couple of decent shots but struggled due to a lack of support

Rowe 6 - Seemed to be more effective on the right than the left but his final passes didn't quite reach their target
Frecklington 5.5 - had one effort on target of note but not much else

I think yesterday it was a generally nervy performance with perhaps an element of trying too hard to get the win in front of the home fans which resulted in many passes going astray when otherwise a more simpler pass would have been executed

So in light of that I think I'll stick with par ratings of 6 for all ( as on a day where you get promoted anything less can't be awarded in my view)

Exceptions being:-
McCartan 7 For the goal which was a good strike
Pett 7 Tireless in midfield
O Hara 7.5 My MOM (again...if he had been here all season he'd have got my season vote)........skillful performance in the middle

Gilks: 6 - Very little to do, rarely tested, a bit static for the goal.
Eardley: 5.5 - Crossing not up to usual standards, exposed at times.
Bostwick 7 - Solid as a rock
Shackell: 6.5 - Generally good, got wrong side for their goal.
Toffolo: 6.5 - Seemed to tire and run out of ideas second half.
O'Hara: 7.5 - Industrious, worked hard, mom
Pett: 7 - Glimpses of his ability, broke up play, started attacks.
Anderson: 6 - Tough battling runs first half, disappeared second.
Andrade 5 - Injured, off the pace.
McCartan 6.5 - Flashes of brilliance, and a goal, but also let himself down.
Akinde: 5.5 - Some good hold up play and chest offs, poor shooting

Rowe: 6 - Added a threat as they tired.
Frecklington 5.5 - Barely involved, one shot
 
Gilks - 6.5 - not a lot to do, no chance with the goal
Eardley -6.0 - usual all action, but poor crossing, was not covered
Toffolo - 6.5 - tried to get forward but exposed several times
Bostwick - 7.5- solid missed nothing, clears his lines so well
Shackell - 7.0 - dependable as ever - not close enough for their goal
O'Hara - 7.5 - Worked very hard and effective, good height in midfield
Pett - 6.5 - caught out several times, but good going forward
Anderson - 6.0 - one of those games promises, but does not deliver
Andrade - 5.5 - clearly not fit, did little of note, gave Long an easy time
McCartan - 7.0- great goal with our only real attempt on target
Akinde - 6.0 - well marked, all effort , several half chances

Rowe - 6.0 - usual pace, good chance at the end
Frecklington - 5.0- not fit still ?, did little, disappointing.
Rhead - 5.5 - looked slow, did not win a lot, one half shot

Several had problems standing up down the Co op right
 
Gilks 6 - Conceded but aside from that, didn't have a save to make
Eardley 6 - Passing was terrible like most others
Bostwick 7 - Heads and kicks
Shackell 7 - Waters was a tricky customer but dealt with him pretty well
Toffolo 6.5 - Andrade not being on song doesn't help him and he didn't seem to click with Anderson either
O'Hara 8 - Only one trying to make something happen and drive the team on
Pett 6.5 - His usual busy self but it felt as though his passing was a bit loose
Anderson 5.5 - Didn't look at the races at all
Andrade 6 - Clearly not fully fit
McCartan 7 - Decent outlet in the first half
Akinde 5.5 - Difficult job against 3 CB's but didn't seem to show for the ball at all

Rowe 6 - Didn't get too much time in the '10' as we changed shape soon after
Frecklington 6 - Little impact.

Overall, a bit of a nervous, 'meh' performance, which lacked energy and was reflected in the stands.
