A better performance than against Fleetwood, but three points fewer in the bank; Nlundulu made his debut and looked relatively sharp for a few minutes, and we still have half a dozen players to return to full fitness yet. W1 D1 L1 for the opening three games is far from a disaster, we must accept this is a work in progress for the first two months, and we will certainly win a few along the way. This is the strongest third tier of my lifetime, we expected this season to be tougher than last, and it is. TJ is back against the odds and the club is doing all it can to compete. Exciting times ahead.

Griffiths 6 - A little unfortunate in that at present every error he makes seems to be punished by a goal. There are signs though as to why he wasn't highly rated by Cheltenham fans last season, despite the promotion.

Poole 6.5 - Another decent outing. Maybe upped his game by knowing TJ was on his way back?
Jackson 6 - Decent
Melbourne 6 - Also decent, but doesn't bring the ball out of defence as well as Walsh/TJ can.
Edun 5 - Tayo was very average tonight, and made a bad mistake on the goal.

Bridcutt 8 - Star man, especially first half. Helped by a decent ref who actually allowed players to tackle.
Sorensen 7 - I thought he had a decent game, and it now looks as though it might be Conor who makes way for Bishop
McGrandles 6 - Two very average games in a row for Conor. Seems a little unsure of his role when Adelakun is allowed to roam, and doesn't combine well with Sorensen.

Adelakun 6 - Showed some good touches and runs, but would he be better employed playing wide on the right instead of roaming all over?
Hopper 5 - Very worrying as Tom looked exhausted just three games into the season
Scully 5 - A typical Sculs performance unfortunately. Was great on Saturday, but will always miss five decent chances for every one he scores. Which is why MA admits we need a striker.

iFollow 2 - Must do much much better
Jimmy Walker 3 - Made some decent tactical points, but needs to cut his word count by about 80%.

Griffiths 6 Was looking very assured with his handling and distribution until his aberration cost us the game. Will learn from that

Poole 7 Decent match at both ends of the pitch. That one low cross about half way through the second half was a peach
Jackson 6.5 Pretty solid throughout
Melbourne 7 Considering he supposedly isn't wanted has not let the team down at any point this season
Edun 6 Good attacking intent down the left but was as culpable over the goal

Bridcutt 7.5 All action display as per Saturday
McGrandles 6 Bit off his game again but plenty of hard work
Sorensen 7 Looked to be playing a little bit more forward than on Saturday and played some nice through balls

Adelakun 6 Some good work but did fade out of the game for some periods
Scully 7 Hard working and unlucky not to get another goal. Ran himself into the ground
Hopper 6 Lots of running but looked tired

Based in iFollow so not all of the match. A good, lively game which could have gone either way but we needed better final balls and finishing:-
Griffiths 5.5-competent bar the one mistake, hopefully he'll learn from that to be (a) more decisive when he comes a long way out and (b) get back into position quickly as that compounded the error and led to defenders out of position.
Poole 7- strong up and down the line, maybe the moaners will shut up?
Jackson 7-solid and composed.
Melbourne 7 - did his job well, some good work in possession too.
Edun 6- strong first half, bit of a relapse 2nd including some complicity in the goal
Bridcutt 8 - MoM, class again, seemed to get further forward at times too?
Sorensen 6 - some good passes, nearly a goal and pen shout, but faded for influence before being subbed.
McGrandles 6.5- not his best, but still strong running including pressing the defence.
Adelakun 7 - curate's egg performance, but when he was good, he's showed signs of a quality player. One excellent defensive interception too.
Hopper 6 - not his best either, defence closed him down and isolated him from support.
Scully 6.5- couple of half chances including one he maybe should have done better with? Hard working and left side lost some effectiveness when he was subbed.

Griffiths 5.5 - Handling good, not troubled much, poor decision/execution lead to goal.
Poole 6.5 - Way better than Saturday, could still get forward more.
Jackson 6.5 - Untroubled, more confident on the ball.
Melbourne 7 - Worth his place, decent tackling and positional play
Edun 6 - There is a good player in there, but too many errors this time. Mind on something else?
Bridcutt 8 - The driving force, MoM
McGrandles 6 - Better than Saturday, decent box to box, got stuck in.
Sorensen 5.5 - Average, occasionally excellent but too many passes went astray, a mouse has a stronger shot, not match fit yet.
Adelakun 6 - Quick, and brilliant for ten minute spells but then might as well have been in the crowd for others.
Scully 7 - The only player who might score, worked gnads off.
Hopper 5.5 - Too much time spent looking for fouls, often left out on his own.

Griffiths 6. Played well , commanded his area and quick distribution. Then as in the previous games came a costly error. Not just his fault as we had other opportunities to clear, but he set off the comedic chain reaction.
Poole. 7.5 Played well both defensively and in support of the attack. Will some fans finally get off his back?
Jackson. 6.5. Dependable without showing too much flair.
Melbourne. 6. Bolton happy for him to have the ball and go long. Only a stop gap for me. A good team man though.
Edun. 6.5. Great engine and was excellent in the first half but more erratic in the second. Row Z please Tayo next time. Has a tendency to over play in dangerous positions. Has some culpability for the goal which ultimately cost us one point.
Bridcutt. 8. To play like that and end up on the losing side. Galling. He is an inspiration. Man of the match by a country mile.
Mcgrandles. 5.5. My player of the season last season but not hit the same heights this, so far. Is he too similar a player to Sorenson. Can we play both together? Probably not when Ted is also on the pitch.
Sorensen. 6.5. A curates egg of a performance. Real quality one minute a poor pass the next.
Scully. 7. Lively in patches. At the moment our best chance of a goal. A pity he screwed the best chance wide.
Hopper.6. Works hard for the team but when you need your centre forward in the area he has drifted wide. A bit peripheral
Adelakun. 6.5. Showed promise . As with wingers, one minute electric, the next pants. Has to do a bit more defensive tracking for my liking but will excite the fans.
Overall a bit frustrating and we lost a game where for good parts we played well.
Oh for a fox in the box ie natural finisher, Ted's creativity as a number 10 and a centre back like the Bolton one who kept bringing the ball out from the back and we are good to go and can match anyone.

Griffiths - 6 bit of a mare with the goal but not entirely his fault
Poole 5 thought he was defensively poor
Jackson 6 pretty untriubled
Melbourne 6 again not much to do passing was a bit hit and miss
Edun 6 ok. The other party culpable for the goal. Good going forward though
Bridcutt 7 once again MoM
Sorensen 6 looked better than Saturday
McGrandles 5 looked worse than Saturday
Adelakun 5 could be good but think he is cross eyed as passing is poor
Hopper 5 2nd game on trot. Was he on the pitch?
Scully 6 tried hard but come still be playing now and not scored
