The media is excitable today, Yaya Toure is on the verge of a move to Inter Milan and we are apparently closing in on Paul Pogba and Raheem Sterling....

Not convinced by Sterling but then aren't we supposed to hate all things Liverpool? At least he'll be able to play for the EDS. Would like to see a replacement for 42 in place before letting him leave - perhaps this is already in an oil pipeline somewhere?

I still think we are making a big mistake in letting Yaya go......Pogba can be the answer but he's been out of the country too long, imo,

Sterling????? He could turn out to be another Zaha like the rags had, but cost a lot more money.......

Nah the juries out on those 2 imo.

They'll be good provided they keep away from the INjuries I reckon.
Yaya in the news again today about his imminent departure to Mr Mancini.

If Yaya wants to go then there's no point forcing him to stay. We could get two good players on his wages that want to play for the club. That said he will leave a massive void that won't be at all easy to fill.

I don't agree with the Zaha comparison. Sterling has proved he has it at this level whereas Zaha looked a world beater in the championship. No guarantees with any player but Sterling to me looks like he has a lot of what we've been lacking ie pace and youthful exuberance.

Sterling is very one footed, and is not a finisher. Yes he can take on players, and has pace. The prices I've seen mentioned for him don't reflect his known deficiencies. Give me Reus ahead of Sterling any day.

That's a no brainer really Brutto but Reus has just signed a new deal, Sterling has just rejected one.

Sterling will end up as a very overpriced squad player for us I fear. Having driven up the price, Liverpool will sell. Not sure he has what it takes to be a top performer, maybe another Welbeck type, looks the business, but little end product.

Until Raheem Sterling is sold by Liverpool to City, someone else, or the transfer window closes in August without him leaving Anfield we'll have to get used to rumour after rumour won't we.

Yaya seems to think the quality we are in for and who will be joining in the next two weeks or two months will really improve the squad. That's part of the reason he's saying apparently judging from a recent interview with the MEN.

Then again, I recall him enthusing about Jovetic when he joined and commenting on "what a fantastic future in the game he has". Talent is one thing I suppose but b*llixs for the fight are something else.

Rather we went for the likes of Austin or have we already tried for him?
I'm sure somebody will inform me!

Hope you watched his performance for England today...NO THANKS. Let the bidding war begin and make sure we don't end up with him!

Milner was the sort of player who would give you 100% every game, just like Zabaleta does, Sterling does not give you that impression, sets off like a house on fire, but can soon be put out.

Not at the money Liverpool are asking, we have to get value for money

Reports, which seem to have started from 'Sky sources' on Thursday, have now grown and expanded that City have put in an opening gambit for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling, which was rejected.
