Raheem Sterling 2016-17

Raz is definitely my player of the season to date. I think the way he continues to face down the bandwaggoning bile that he is experiencing on the road in England is an immense credit to him. I think he is going to have a legendary game any day now.

"I think he is going to have a legendary game any day now."

And who better to that against than tonight's opponents?

You may say I'm a dRaheemer.

Hoped from the day he joined us,
that he can be as good as Kun.

I'll get my coat

I am glad that Pep changed him to the right for most of the game, he plays better there and is harder to handle because he has more options than on the left, where we find that his left leg is just for standing on.

He is clearly better on the right, but I don't think he's that bad on the left either. His goal against Swansea showed he's more than capable on the left as well. I think Pep will still use him on that side occasionally, as I think he wants our guys to be as comfortable as possible in multiple positions, and switching them during a game stops the defenders from 'settling in' to what we're doing

Excellent.

His distribution needs to be a bit better than before we can say he is a great player, but this season following the witch hunt in the Summer he has been excellent so far.

He'll have to stop diving just because he gets a boot in the ankle.. that ref today must have had some rush of blood. It was clearly a penalty and not to get one was disgraceful and then to get a yellow, well my flabber was completely gasted. :017: :017:

Shows what the manager having confidence in you can do. He has clearly been given better instruction and guidance and is getting better. Excellent decision making for the pass to Gundogan and th first goal

I must admit he has surprised me this season, the way he has stuck at it and improved. Playing on the right most of the time has worked well, but he still fluffs his goal chances too often for me.

It is to his credit tht he has knuckled down, listened to his coach and applied himself. Great to see him stick it to the media and the legions of idiots who were giving him unjustified boos wherever he played.

Good interview here with Gary Lineker on BBC iPlayer
