Rag Panic

The "united way" is a thing of beauty. Ignore the propaganda and arslikhan of their legion of hack friends in the media. The Stretford Galacticos across 5 years have been panicked into paying transfer requesting players and agents what they want, panicked into smashing their wage structure, panicked into sacking managers, panicked into abandoning a declared moral high ground over transfers, panicked into appointing a volatile manager the clubs elders were dead set against and ultimately panicked into breaking the world transfer record to try to win the Premier League. And all because of liddle ciddy.

I have waited half my lifetime to witness the unseemly scrabbling around that has been going on in Salford ever since The Dark Lord left the stage. The agenda remains clear - the buy-back of a former player at an eye-watering sum of money has been accepted as a testimony to rag ambition and not as part of the "ruining of football" as so much of City's transfer activity has been portrayed.

I commented elsewhere but will repeat it here - the most astonishing view I have heard about Pogba's arrival has been that Taggart was "right" to let the lad go as it enabled him to "further his footballing education" before returning to the rags. Re-writing history has always been their speciality but that took the biscuit - Taggart being lauded as "visionary" for his decision four years ago.

I would say you couldn't make it up....but clearly someone could :013:

Transfer fees are becoming crazy, we regularly pay over the odds, the only good thing is now the Raggy arsed bastards cannot bully teams into parting with their best talent, they are made to pay for it.

I don't think we were ever in for PP or if we enquirer and were told the fee, we backed off and did some wheeler dealing ourselves with the exception of Stones as own grown always come at a premium.

I think ffp has backfired on those clubs trying to stop City because contrary to what I believed that no clubs could get into a position of strength to challenge the big clubs, now instead of just City competing for good players there are more clubs that can challenge for the top spot.

To try and counter this Now Uefa and one wonders why the fourth place will not automatically get a CL spot, this stinks really badly

....and here it is.

I was wondering when someone at the BBC would reckon this fee is the "bargain of the summer".

Basically the editor has said to Simon Stone......."go away and find me SOME reason why we can declare this enormous transfer fee as value for money. I don't care how you do it. Find a way"
