it's a footballing non-story really (not a dig at you Ox). Madrid do change their manager for fun, because it really doesn't matter who is managing them - it all hinges on what players like Ronaldo, Ramos and Pepe want. The players at Madrid merely see the manager as a 12th player, not someone who guides them.

Well I suspect a few here can guess who I wanted as a manager - of course his RM tenure will be short, perhaps there is hope yet! :10: :17:

I wanted Benitez in charge, but after seeing how the previous season ended and considering his time in Napoli, it is more and more apparent that he is not a good fit for us.

Now he can go to Real and do what he does best - spend huge.

He hasn't even started and the press and fans are already gunning for him, he may just be the man to sort out those overpaid so called super starts.

not like Benitez has done anything in the last few seasons to earn himself this job they're just running out of top managers to give the role to. That said he's a good manager, will be interesting to see what he does with such incredible talent - particularly in attacking players.

It will be funny when the Real fans will be complaining about winning titles with the wrong style of playing!

As some of you have said, Madrid have run out of options. Been through all the best managers. Only reason he has got the job.

More likely that they will tell him where to go .... Ramos, Pepe - formidable pair in more ways than one.
