I know every club has its idiot fans, but there's being an idiot fan, and then there's boasting about being racist.
 
All clubs need to shake themselves off of these twits.

We have had our own troublemakers, for sure. Chelsea are a paradox of themselves. All the support they have from the African nations, yet they have one of the most racist followings in London. Millwall and Chelsea, brothers in arms!

As for the latest incident in Paris, this should be totally condemned by ALL the English football teams and fans.

Disgusting.

What they were doing was abhorrent and the claims that it is a minority within the club is frankly wrong, but it pails in significance to what we see most years in Eastern Europe and, on a number of occasions, in Italy.

We'll see if this train load of fans comes off worse than those who assualted our fans because they thought they were Jews, or the players who assaulted our England u21 players because they were black, or the entire Lazio away support who made constant hissing noises in the same stadium as the uefa president.
 
If the headline was "Racist English football fans!" and I had to guess the club, i'd pick Chelsea...

I doubt anyone was surprised.

Unless UEFA really once and for all make an example of these 'minorities' with huge fines/potential bans then nothing is going to change.

We've moved on a lot in the last decade or so; but that doesn't mean there won't always be a small bunch of morons that will attach themselves to any club, that is until the punishment is so horrendous the club enforce measures to deal with them before it turns into something nastier.
 
It's not just the clubs though Galvin - the Police have to identify the offenders and prosecute them to the full extent of the law possible.

The club can only ultimately only give them life bans.
 
Clubs can only be held accountable for what goes on in their grounds, it's an impractical nonsense to put responsibility on them everywhere else.
 
Wonder what one of their terrace legends would make of it....... And would they have the bottle to say it to his face....... I doubt it.

Used to go to the Bridge a lot as a kid, my old man is a chav, they have always been a racist bunch of wankers. They do it to their own players and own fans, have seen it happen many a time.

We have to kick out these people. They can't be real football lovers, they're too easily side-tracked by other issues, like racism and 'group' activities (I hesitate to use the term gang warfare, I don't want to insult gangs), real lovers of football would be majoring on the game and the issues to do with that.

How do they come to terms with the fact that they have different races in their team? The term 'hypocrite' comes to mind. They need the foreigners in their team when they want to win a game.
